8 words missing
[edit]This article is missing 8 words from the Dolch list of 95 common nouns. The words are: sun, table, thing, time, top, toy, tree, and watch. They should therefore, obviously, be added between the word street and the word water. I don't know what to do so I thought I would just create a talk topic and let someone else decide to make the changes.

Expired copyright
[edit]The Dolch word list is no longer in copyright during the copyright laws that were in affect during that time. Therefore it can be republished here. Zzmonty (talk) 18:04, 5 January 2009 (UTC). This is good for "Talk", so I removed this sentence from the main article: "Under the copyright laws in effect during the time of publication, the Dolch word list is out of copyright.[citation needed]"
The "Dolch list: Non-nouns" section has the number words "one" to "ten", but how come "nine" is not in this section? Yusheng02 (talk) 09:48, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

Dolch word list as browser-based flash cards
[edit]I've just published a GitHub Pages website that, among other things, presents a list of words as flash cards. I've used the list(s) from this article as examples. I thought this might be an easy way for parents to present the Dolch list to their children.
For details, see the "Sight words" example in the site readme.
Is this worthy of a reference in the article? I dunno. I'll let someone else decide that. Graham Hannington (talk) 13:08, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
