Spelling etc

[edit]

Spelled "Dolbadern Castle" in Simon Schama's Power of Art series episode about Turner (at 7.25). Manytexts (talk) 10:52, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As was the case with medieval words, there are variations. You can see here that there are articles titled "Dolbadam Castle" and "Dolbadarn Castle"; Schama appears to have invented his own spelling, but as the guidebooks published by Her Majesty's Stationary Office (HMSO) use "Dolbadarn Castle" I don't think there's any need to change the article. Pics of Paintings

[edit]

Painting by Philippe Loutherbourg (which is quite important for the british landscapepainting) here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/yourpaintings/paintings/view-of-snowdon-with-the-castle-of-dolbadarn-from-llanberi47557. Don't know if its allowed by british copyrights to insert the pic itself. Please consider it... — Preceding unsigned comment added by QbA (talkcontribs) 14:42, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
