"First on the Web" vs. "First on the Internet"
[edit]As far as I can determine, Where the Buffalo Roam was the first comic published on the Internet (Usenet, specifically), while Doctor Fun was the first comic published on the actual Web. The author himself says (http://www.ibiblio.org/Dave/bye.html) that Argon Zark was the first "Web cartoon", but he appears to mean "first comic designed for the Web", as opposed to "first comic published on the Web".
In any case, several sources seem to be confused about the difference between the Net and the Web (and pre-Web services like CompuServe), so please double-check before changing that bit. Phasma Felis (talk) 08:55, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
