Origin of the name Dixmont
[edit]was in fact not named in honour of Dorothea Dix
Is this the case? However she felt about it, I've never seen the naming attributed to anything else. Or is this just referring to the fact that the hospital wasn't named Dixmont at the time of founding? Crcollins (talk) 13:34, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Why does it say nothing about how the patients were tortured?
[edit]and how people say their "spirits" haunt the asylum still. they even did an episode on it on this show called Scariest Places On Earth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.49.118.55 (talk) 00:17, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Legends of Being Haunted
[edit]Of many places in the world allegedly haunted, Dixmont State Hospital is one of the most famous of all, but the article doesn't mention this. Could anyone add a section on its legends?--124.171.39.100 (talk) 10:40, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
