Title vs Category confusion

[edit]

Sorry to be pedantic, Drown Soda but a Disappearance does not tend to have a birth date, nor is a Disappearance a "People from Iowa" nor a "People from Portland, Oregon". WP:CATDEF is not ambiguous: "A central concept used in categorising articles is that of the defining characteristics of a subject of the article." The subject of this article - as named - is the disappearance, not the person. A disappearance has an anniversary, not a date of birth. I respect that other disappearance articles may well repeat this mistake; that does not make it any less of a mistake. IMO you should either rename the article as Marvin Clark, or lose the inappropriate categories. --Tagishsimon (talk) 05:06, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tagishsimon, gotcha, I absolutely see what you mean. Drown Soda (talk) 06:50, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
