While I would not edit war on a merge and I still respect him as an editor. I feel like @*Treker: has a lack of understanding on how the general notability guidelines work. One reception clearly does not necessarily prove notability. Also definitely not on a primary source reward that doesn’t even seem to have an active source. That kind of reward is already linked on Nextwave anyway . This kind of logic is like saying Hans Gruber deserves an article out of Die Hard because he appeared in AFI's 100 Years...100 Heroes & Villains and because he’s cool as a villain (which he is). Maybe he is or maybe he isn’t. But the Burden of Proof is on your hands now. I will also ping @Namenamenamenamename: as he wanted to merge Captain (comics). Another original character from the comic series. I feel if Captain goes so maybe does Dirk Anger. Jhenderson 777 02:36, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I agree that Anger isn't notable enough to have his own page. There doesn't appear to be significant coverage of the character. He's only appeared 12 times according to Marvel Wikia and his appearances are limited to the Nextwave series, indicating a lack of notability within the comics. I think a redirect/selective merge to Nextwave would make sense. Namenamenamenamename (talk) 03:00, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I didn't say it proved he was notable, just that it seemed like something that was worth looking at. If it's true that the character has little coverage despite the award then merge it.★Trekker (talk) 03:13, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I will check for some. I know if there was significant reception on him it would be positive because he is a funny character in an acclaimed comic series. But finding some last time I checked was a little scarce. Jhenderson 777 03:19, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
