What is this article about?
[edit]Digital architecture sounds like a plausible term but to say 'the emergent field is not clearly delineated to this point' is simply dodging the issue. The first version of this page states categorically "Digital architecture does not involve the use of actual materials (brick, stone, glass, steel, wood)" which is absolutely correct. Although computer technology is certainly used to make certain complex and especially organic shapes possible in steel and concrete, there is nothing digital about the end result: they are real buildings that you can walk around in, take the elevator up to the top floor, look out of the windows or whatever. The design process is not called 'digital architecture', it is 3D modeling used to generate a set of working drawings. The actual subject here is the various forms and uses of virtual reality. A redirect may be in order unless things become clearer. ProfDEH (talk) 13:30, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]Does anyone think that we should merge Digital architect into this article? It has no sources, is little more than a definition, and has various outstanding problems otherwise. Me, Myself & I (☮) (talk) 06:59, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
