Neutrality
[edit]I have reservations about the neutrality of this article – it reads like some kind of fairy tale [1]. The main problem is the complete lack of inline citations from verifiable sources. May I remind some of the the editors of this article that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and articles must be written in an impartial tone with a neutral point of view. Unless citations are provided I propose that some of the content be removed. Barret (talk) 19:35, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- To the editor who is repeatedly inserting the words "freedom fighter", "legendary" and "national hero" – please stop. As I have already explained above, Wikipedia articles should be written with neutral language, and care should be taken to avoid peacock terms and words which only serve to promote a point of view. -- Barret (talk) 15:45, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- This page was recently semi-protected for the second time due to the disruptive editing of one editor. If this editor continues to add unsourced content and POV wording, or remove maintenance templates without explanation or any attempt to fix the problems they address, then semi protection will be applied for longer periods in the future. Please remember to observe wikipedia's core policy that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. Barret (talk) 12:03, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
Copyright violation
[edit]I removed a large amount of content from this article because it had been tagged as unsourced for over a year along with a number of citation needed templates. Nobody responded to the above discussion and I was unable to find any reliable sources myself. However, I have since noticed that most of it was a copyright violation which was added to the article in February 2009 [2] copied from this webpage [3] which indicates "© 2007 Kongu Natpani Manram, USA". Please do not re-add this content without permission from the copyright holder. Barret (talk) 16:33, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
please investigate against fact of dheeran chinnamalai
[edit]Dheeran chinnamalai story is kind of imaginary story. A particular community in Tamil nadu is the current ruler's (MLA, MP) of kongu region. They are trying to imposing a imaginary story as a real. dheeran chinnamalai wasn't original story. There are many authorised evidence against him. Their story about dheeran chinnamalai is collided from actual india's freedom war history (1800 to 1820). Every one trust the wikipedia is always publishing trustfulness details. So My humble request is please investigate against originality of Dheeran chinnamalai story. If it is untruth please remove it. Local news papers and local book authors can wrote any thing but that all are not to be a truth. This article says the war between Dheeran chinnamalai and British. So the investigation need for this article at international level.

Brittish government also does'nt mention this Dheeran Chinnamalai. They said Cornel Maxwell killed by Dheeran Chinnamalai at 1802 but this same Cornel Maxwell was died in Mahratt war at 1803.Brittish govt. have a proof for Cornel Maxwell's wife received 300 pounds as pension. The both 1792 and 1799 wars are failure to Tippu but they said Chinnamalai helps Tippu's victory for Seringapattinam war. They said 1/4th soldiers are placed in Tippu's team but the Tippu does'nt mention the salary details and agreement about the Dheeran Chinnamalai soldiers.
