Red Links
[edit]If nobody has any objection, I propose to remove the redlinked items. If they are not notable enough to have articles then they are not notable enough to list. Of course, if any of them are notable enough but just don't have articles yet then that is different. A stub can be made for any of those. --DanielRigal (talk) 16:16, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, so I went ahead and removed the redlinks. Haakon (talk) 14:50, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
Desktop Sharing
[edit]Dear Author,
Why there is nothing about HP Remote Graphics Software (HP RGS)? The advantage of HP RGS is usage of special graphics compression method which allows to send 3D OpenGL and DirectX graphics over low-bandwidth links. Also remote sound and USB are supported.

TeamViewer free for non-commercial use?
[edit]This article noted for some time that TeamViewer was free for "private users". I looked on their website [1] and saw no such language, so I removed that and inserted the pricing [2]. A recent edit [3] has now inserted that it is free for "non-commercial use". Looking again at their pricing page [4], I see no such offer. Before reinserting "free" language, would someone provide a reference for same? Thank you, JoeSperrazza (talk) 14:56, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- To the letter, here you go:

- Thanks for the info. (and, for others' reference, the link is http://www.teamviewer.com/en/solutions/remoteaccess.aspx). JoeSperrazza (talk) 02:23, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- On a related note, you changed [5] the pricing, yet the pricing page, which I referenced in my initial note [6] disagrees with your change:
- It was: $749 - $2,690
- You changed it to: $689 - $2,629, free for non-commercial use
- However, the pricing page still says: $749 - $2,690 without a link to the free for non-commercial use part, but you did indicate where that was.
- I'm going to change the pricing back (but not remove the non-commercial use comment) JoeSperrazza (talk) 03:16, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- On a related note, you changed [5] the pricing, yet the pricing page, which I referenced in my initial note [6] disagrees with your change:
- They tailor the prices based on geographical IP location. The price I changed it to turned out to be in Canadian dollars, I confirm that the old price is still correct for people from the USA.

How are these implemented?
[edit]Could somebody expand the article to describe how these are implemented ? That gives me an idea on the technologies used and I can evaluate these products on security. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.61.18.228 (talk) 20:03, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
please make table sortable
[edit]please make table sortable — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.251.115.2 (talk) 13:06, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- What should be the different sort-criteria? Due to the current data in the table and its overall brevity, I see no sense in making it sortable. Please enlighten me. --mhi (talk) 19:55, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
VNC
[edit]I would consider VNC to be among the notable SW. Should there be any reason for me not add it to the table? --mhi (talk) 19:58, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- That's a major omission. --Biker Biker (talk) 20:34, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Support. Please add VNC to the list.141.20.193.202 (talk) 14:23, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- Can VNC be used to share screens? I have only ever used it for remote access. --Drizzd (talk) 10:44, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
Synergy (software)
[edit]Should Synergy (software) be included here in desktop sharing?

Chrome Remote Desktop really support IM/VC?
[edit]For Chrome Remote Desktop, Instant Messaging and Video Conferencing are true, because you can use Hangouts... But that doesn't make sense to me, we could then just say yes to _all_ applications, since you can use any IM/VC client along with it. Someone seems to have confused "from same company" with "part of same program". LosD (talk) 13:43, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
