This article currently reads a lot like a puff piece or resume. I tried to clean it up some, and condensed much of the content, but it still needs work. For example, all of the entries under the NAACP section causes it to appear WP:UNDUE, are we sure that he was involved in all of that activity or was it just done by the organization while he was president (the multiple "under the leadership of Forward, the NAACP did this" bits particularly). It also needs to be converted into prose instead of just looking like a list of every time his name was mentioned in the paper, and we don't need multiple refs citing single statements. - Adolphus79 (talk) 01:05, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
