I've added a few extra details of the Derbyshire police and the area it covers. There's nothing particularly earth-shattering here, but as a Derbyshire resident I thought it was worth expanding the item a little. I've not removed (or tried to find out how to remove) the 'stub' marker since there's still not much here even so. Hope it meets general approval! Adaru 12:40, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
Quick list of things needing to be changed
[edit]I'm not sure of how the stations are ordered, I think it is by their divisions, but seeing as how it is about the stations, it should probably be in alphabetical order.
David Coleman is retiring, and so will need to be replaced by the new CC when he leaves.
Is there much point mentioning about the tradition that CCs have, which is to walk around the county when they retire?
It has 150 years police service.
There are little references in this article, ando so will need some.
It is worth listing the ACC, and DCC?
Also, I think the badge needs to be of more importance than the area it is in.
Why can't I update the budget? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.6.79.200 (talk) 15:19, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Personal Commentary
[edit]I've removed the following opinion from the article, where it had been posted twice:
"unfortunately like many constabularies incident numbers are now being issued so that crime statistics look better than what they are, as "joe public" would believe it is a recorded statistic, if you report a crime. But not so when issued with an incident number or even better "our system is down and we will get back to you " many a time this has occurred ,and the public cannot prove anything. So hopefully we will all get a honest policing eventually.but targets are proving a greed element to distort."
Quite aside from the incoherence of these comments (having read and re-read I still don't know exactly what the author was trying to say), this is an encyclopaedia, not a political soapbox. We record facts here, not opinion. If you have a grievance about policing in your area then take it to the police authority or to the IPCC - or, failing all else (or if those options aren't high-profile enough for you), the media and your local MP. Vandalism
[edit]Reverted further (barely-literate) vandalism. Will continue to pop in from time to time and do so until I see some of these assertions backed up with cites. Until then I'll assume they're nothing more than the result of the chip on someone's shoulder. - Shrivenzale 17:35, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Red White and Blue
[edit]I think something needs to be added regarding the policing of the annual BNP Red White and Blue parade, as there is usually some sort of protest that the police have to police and that is something that is unique for Derbyshire, especially in 2009 with all eyes on how it is dealt with after the G20 protests.
