Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Denis Creissels is well-respected among linguists specialized in typology and African languages (his h-factor on Google Scholar is 16, which is respectable in the field of linguistics). His 1995 and 2006 books on syntax are widely used as textbooks (in France and in other countries). Besides, he has significantly contributed to the description of many poorly known languages.
- If his books are used as textbooks, then he likely passes criterion 4 of our notability guidelines for academics. Can you give us some more details about these books - are they used as textbooks in high school, or university? This kind of thing should really go in the article if we can verify it. — Mr. Stradivarius ♫ 11:22, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
