Population numbers for 2021 and for recent years

[edit]

It seems that birth and death numbers have been reverse engineered from population numbers since around 2021 assuming zero migration. While the population numbers are given by BelStat for each year as well as breakdowns by age (recently only 5-year age bands) but using those numbers assuming zero migration to calculate births and deaths is dubious. Perhaps recent (post 2020) birth and death numbers should be updated if possible or dropped. Instead, the article could list the breakdown by age with special respect to the 0-4 age category.

I think that there is a potential mix up as most years have mid year estimates while for 2021 I think the number is for January 1, 2021. Anyways, a reference is missing. I am inclined to take those nrs for 2021 down unless a reference is provided. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.1.12.204 (talk) 14:19, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

now, there is a break in the series for the population. Up to 2021 it is average (mid-year), and after that it is for January 1st. References were also taken out for the correct annual average population, not sure why. 99.225.143.94 (talk) 12:54, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
