I am from Delta State Nigeria and Igbo is not the predominant language. There are the Urhobos, Isokos, Ishekris, Ijaws and many other tribes. Oil in Delta State

So the lede notes that Delta State is primarily an oil producing region, yet makes no mention of it under "natural resources," ignores the international oil firms operating there and the numerous deadly conflicts that have arisen over the protests against oil drilling. This is akin to describing Hawaii while failing to mention that it is an island in the Pacific. Oil is everything in Delta State. Copy/plagiarism

This article seems to be largely plagiarized from http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/information/details/Delta .

Okpe People

Okpe People often regarded as the Urhobo people, whose language is widely claimed to be one of many dialects of Urhobo, occupy Sapele and Okpe Local Government Areas of Delta State. The Okpe and Urhobo both migrated from the Benin Kingdom. The majority of Okpe people see themselves as ethnic groups that are different from those of Urhobo. They see themselves as different from the Urhobos. However, the Orodje of Okpe who is the king of the Okpe people has stated that the Okpe people are Urhobo people until any other official statement says otherwise. Whomever is behind that ObiWali account along with other like accounts have been coordinating a hate campaign against the Igbos on several Wikipedia pages, distorting history and records. What they are writing is not only untrue, but deeply offensive and inciting against the Igbo. Lunarwriter (talk) 18:35, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Obi Wali is an Igbo leader of the Ikwerre clan that was butchered for fighting for his people. This Obi Wali account is a taunt against the Igbo clans. There are several Igbo clans in Delta State - the Ukwuani, Enuani, Ila , Ndokwa, Oshimili, Aniocha, Anioma. These are well known Igbo groups that this Obi Wali character is attempting to distort online. The account is going further to accuse Igbos of killing Hausa and other ethnic groups in Delta State. This is a dangerous attack against the Igbo. First the account holder that is clearly not Igbo, adopted the identity of a man that was butchered for fighting for the rights of Ikwerre Igbo. Secondly he is changing the identity of Igbos. Thirdly, he is lying that the Igbos killed the Hausa and several groups in Delta. These are all a designed hate campaign against the Igbo. Firstly, I am aware of the actual person Obi Wali — no one is suggesting that this is that person. Secondly, everyone vaguely aware of the ethnic/subethnic dynamics of groups related to the Igbo people know that there is significant contention over whether these groups are Igbo subgroups or distinct ethnic groups — this is the matter of contention in this discussion, bring evidence to support your claim (I know many Ika identify as Igbo but you just said "Ikwerre Igbo" when many Ikwerre do not identify as Igbo which brings your neutrality into question). Thirdly, it is not a "dangerous attack against the Igbo" to note that Biafran forces targeted non-Igbo communities during the Midwest Invasion of 1967 — this is a documented historical fact, stated in works like the book The Nigerian Civil War by John De St. Jorre and this paper on the situation in Esanland among others (this again brings your ability to be neutral into question as you do not delete the sentences on the similarly documented Asaba massacre against ethnic Igbo). Bring sources for the point of contention — if the groups are Igbo subgroups or distinct ethnic groups — and avoid violating the numerous rules that you already have run afoul of (WP:NOTHERE, WP:NPA, WP:EDITWAR, and WP:POV). — Watercheetah99 (talk) 06:46, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The person and their likes does not care about evidence. They are only interested in shoving their ethnic identity down the throat of other ethnic groups.
