Summary of events needs to be rewritten
[edit]This section needs to be rewritten, it is sensationalist and only presents one point of view. While this is obviously a tragedy, there is no explanation for why the US mistakenly dropped the bombs on a wedding party —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.147.56.170 (talk) 20:13, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
What do you mean it is sensationalist? It is utterly cold and factual. As for 'mistakenly' things like this don't happen by mistake. There is a reason like: 'The pilot was given the wrong coordinates' (unlikely), or 'The pilot 'thought' he spotted weapons and as a number of people were running, they must have been insurgents' (much more likely in the trigger happy us military). The thing is this article does need some content regarding an explanation for the tragedy. I'll see what I can dig up. 1812ahill (talk) 16:09, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
- Regardless what the reason was, it would be helpful to have it in the article. Any update?MartinezMD (talk) 12:16, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
- The facts are presented, unless one wants a blanket of silence over it the article is neutral. --82.135.82.174 (talk) 11:54, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
