Similar to Bahmani-Vijayanagar war there should be same for Deccan Sultanates and Vijayanagar conflicts, the victories between these two states and empire was different in which both victory and losses were faced on the both side, but here it is shown as the final victory which occurred during the Battle of Talikota also known as allied victory 49.207.221.228 (talk) 15:28, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Let me explain. The name of the empire is correctly rendered Vijayanagara with the a, as you can find in the article on the empire. Vijayanagar minus the a is a schwa-deleted rendering of the name of the empire in northern Indian languages. Vijayanagar is indeed widely used as a result of this process, but Vijayanagara is the correct native term for it. Perhaps alternative rendering is a better way to put it than mispelled, if you please. I do believe WP:CONSISTENT applies here either way. If you feel this was an uncalled for bold action, feel free to revert the change, I'll propose the move instead. Cheers. Chronikhiles(talk)09:31, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I won't disagree. Using "Vijayanagar" shouldn't pose any issue imho, especially considering the disambiguation page for the Bahmani-Vijayanagar War. I predominantly opted for "Vijayanagar" over "Vijayanagara" because that's how most of the sources I referenced referred to it. But if you believe I made a mistake, please feel free to move all instances of "Vijayanagar" used in the MILHIST articles. Regards. Imperial[AFCND]10:22, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
