Flyers fan?
[edit]The article states that Boreanaz is "a huge Flyers fan" without any citation. I have found several sources stating that he is in fact a Buffalo Sabres fan, and in fact, in the spring of 2007 ran a blog on NHL.com as a guest celebrity Sabres fan. And he was born in Buffalo, NY, so there is some connection there. http://blogs.voices.com/voxdaily/2007/04/stanley_cup_promo_voice_david_boreanaz.html http://www.searchingbones.com/2007/04/05/david-boreanaz-is-an-official-nhl-blogger/ Should this info be added, or at least should the statement about the Flyers be sourced somehow? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.251.125.50 (talk) 22:50, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- They meant to say that his character on Bones, Seeley Booth, is a huge Flyers fan.
Added a cited article (and interview) that Boreanaz is in fact a Flyers fan; although he was born in Buffalo, his family moved to Philly before he was a teenager. FridaysPhoto (talk) 17:39, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
The Rocketeer
[edit]Although I have not found any mention of him playing on that film I am quite sure that he does play a guard. He can be seen at the 23:08 mark of the movie. Does anyone have any info on this or can anyone corroborate this? Sgv 6618 (talk) 16:02, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- IMDb disagrees. Doniago (talk) 16:38, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Ancestry: "American people of [………] descent"
[edit]In the article it's clearly insinuated that Mr. Boreanaz is from his father's side of rather SLOVENIAN (than of Italian) ancestry, since his family's previous surname was "BERGINC". But according to the "Categories", he belongs to "American people of Italian descent", "American people of French descent", "American people of Slovak descent", and "American people of Irish descent". I'm absolutely agreeing that his matrilineal ancestry is highlighted thrice, but I guess it would be a good idea to add patrilineal ancestry, viz.: "American people of Slovenian descent". —— May someone please repair this? Aspen Extreme
[edit]Where is he in this movie called Aspen Extreme? He apparently was just an extra in it...somewhere. Uh!PeterMan844 (talk) 08:45, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
His minor role in Best of the Best II!
[edit]On my DVD, I cannot see him much beyond a second, as he only shows up at the left side of the screen which is fully expanded on my TV. He is handed a piece of paper, and talks to another guy just as Eric Roberts and the other guy walks into the dance club (about 7 minutes after Chris Penn's character dies). He is visible on the foreign uploads at YouTube, though.PeterMan844 (talk) 12:24, 4 March 2017 (UTC)

Birth year - 1969 or 1971?
[edit]Can anyone provide a more definitive source than what's currently in the article regarding Boreanaz's birth year? The source currently in the article now appears to be blacklisted by WP, and editors keep claiming 1969 is the correct year, though none have, to my knowledge, provided a reliable source. Thanks! DonIago (talk) 02:07, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
I've managed to find a several social media posts from 2019 indicating he turned 50 in that year, some from verified accounts who are friends and colleagues of his - I'm positive 1969 is the correct date. However, I have yet to find a suitable, non social media source so can't make any changes thus far - the joys of proper referencing! Domjos123 (talk) 21:36, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- Given that the current source does seem to now be blacklisted, do you think removing his birthdate entirely until we can find an RS would be a good option? I'd be amenable to that if having a potentially incorrect (but sourced, but perhaps unreliably) is considered a worse option. DonIago (talk) 02:00, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
Is IMDb considered a reliable source? His birthdate is given as May, 16th 1969.Cotkuch (talk) 19:09, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
Boreanaz is stated on the IMDb webpage to be celebrating his 38th birthday on Martha Stewart's show, "Martha". (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7923958/) The broadcast date given is 16th May, 2007. This would indicate a birthdate of 16th May 1969. I am assuming the episode was either broadcast live on that date, or he knew it would be aired on May 16th and made the claim. A YouTube video of this particular episode exists where Stewart wishes him happy birthday, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjMM4Rld63o) (The birthday greeting is at 33s). FYI, Stewart tells the audience Boreanaz is "26" and Boreanaz corrects her to "24". This would shift the year of his birth to between 1981 and 1983. However, this appears to be a light-hearted reference to a "showbiz" age. The original uploader of the video states in the video title the year being 2008, however, IMDb records his appearances on Martha as 2007 and 2006 (with another guest). (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004770/?ref_=tt_cl_t_1#self) Cotkuch (talk) 19:09, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
IMDb also claims in his biography (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004770/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm) that Boreanaz was born the same day as Tracey Gold. Her birthday is given as May, 16th 1969 (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0325097/?ref_=nmbio_trv_50). Cotkuch (talk) 19:09, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
YouTube also has a clip uploaded by TMZ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03kSUJfwUJA) The video description reads, "David Boreanaz celebrated his 41st birthday yesterday...". The date of the upload is May 17th 2010. This also indicates a birthdate of 16th May 1969. Cotkuch (talk) 19:09, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
I've found one source which claims he was born in 1971.[1] And a user provided a magazine profile which claims he was born in 1969.[2] So, I guess if more usable sources can be added, then we can get a consensus on what year to add or maybe we could add both IDK. Clear Looking Glass (talk) 05:34, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
This New York Times profile from 2006 states that he was 37, this CNN article from 2010 states he was 41, and this AP News listing from 2021 says he turned 52, all making his birth year 1969. Are these sufficiently reliable? Lamacha9617 (talk) 17:22, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- Three corroborating sources seem reasonable to me unless they're all pulling from the same unreliable root source (unlikely but not impossible?). Given that this has been contentious I'd recommend at least two cites. Thanks! DonIago (talk) 19:35, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
