Bomb The Bass
[edit]I might have dreamed this, but didn't Gibbons draw and/or illustrate the first album from UK acid house/hip hop/sample-house Bomb The Bass "into the dragon". Here is the link to the cover for those of you not familiar with it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B000025P04/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_0?ie=UTF8&index=0
Not only is this quite a cool cover and it features the blood stained smily face from Watchmen and what looks like Johnny Alpha, Strontium Dogs gun, this in turn lead to the smily face being adopted by the acid house movement. This Guardian article touches upon it a little bit: http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2009/feb/21/smiley-face-design-history
I can NOT find a reference if Gibbons did indeed design that LP cover. My Bomb The Base LP is in my parents house and they live on the other side of the planet from me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.149.125.59 (talk) 21:51, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Superhero Parody
[edit]There was a superhero parody stage-play doing the rounds in the late 1980s. Can anyone recall the name and confirm that Dave Gibbons did the artwork? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.48.150.236 (talk) 15:43, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
