Comment from new page reviewer

[edit]

@TechnoSquirrel69, @Taking Out The Trash and for future reviewers until this page is dealt with by an admin:

  • I've requested a history merge to Daniel Seavey, as someone seems to have mistakenly moved Daniel Seavey to Draft:Daniel Seavey recently. Daniel Seavey was then deleted by an admin as it was a cross-namespace redirect. Daniel Seavey was then relatively quickly recreated as a redirect to the relevant main topic, which I then reviewed as patrolled.
  • As it currently stands, Draft:Daniel Seavey was a former article before it became a redirect before all of this happened. It has edit history dating back to 2015, which I think is grounds for keeping it.
  • Sorry if this is confusing or inaccurate, I don't have access to the deletion logs as I'm not an admin, I've only stumbled upon this page as a new page reviewer. Fork99 (talk) 00:39, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also, to centralise discussion, please discuss at Talk:Daniel Seavey#Feedback from New Page Review process. Thank you! Fork99 (talk) 00:57, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Actual article

[edit]

I understand that currently 'Daniel Seavey' links back to Why Don't We, however, I have created an actual article about Seavey. His career existed before Why Don't We and has continued on after the band broke up. I don't know too much about Wikipedia so someone please correct me if I'm doing something wrong. Thank you. Question

[edit]

User:Wiscoboy93, User:TheNuggeteer: Will someone please explain the comments to me about new redirects, or about redirect deletion? As everyone has noted, there is a redirect from Daniel Seavey to Why Don't We, and the redirect has history, because it has been an article, and then has been cut down to a redirect. There does not appear to have been a consensus on whether there should be a separate article on Seavey. If this draft is accepted, the redirect should be moved to draft space or to a subpage rather than deleted, because it has history. I do not think that there is any need to create or delete a redirect. Can someone explain what the redirect discussion is about? Robert McClenon (talk) 04:42, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Resubmitted

[edit]

@TechnoSquirrel69: Thank you for reviewing and for the feedback. I apologize for poorly paraphrasing from the couple of sources you listed. It looks as if Asilvering has gone in and cleaned up those areas of the article. I thus resubmitted. Again, I appreciated your review and the feedback. If you see anything else that could be added, removed, or updated to make this article better please let me know. Thank you. Wiscoboy93
