Herodotus

Removed references to the "Kurash Prism"
[edit]The so-called "Kurash Prism" is nothing else than an outdated translation of the Cyrus Cylinder. You can compare it with lines 20-23 and 30-33 of this translation. Amizzoni (talk) 00:31, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Giant Note (Whiston quote)
[edit]That is one big-ass reference. It's like half the article. I'm just saying. -- 14:09, 27 September 2007 129.115.102.13
"Cyrus a follower of Zoroaster...would feel a kindred spirit with the monotheistic Jews"
[edit]This is semi-anachronistic and not too probable on several grounds. AnonMoos (talk) 08:17, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
"the serious chronological difficulties...that the Jews returned during the reign of Cyrus"
[edit]Not sure what those are. If you parse Ezra-Nehemiah, there were actually several return expeditions. Those which accomplished most of the work of re-establishing the temple and creating a viable Jewish community in Judea under reform-minded priests and scribes were actually not under the reign of Cyrus...
