"I Get Money" removed from Curtis track listing and more details

Realest4Life and I (Ayoleftyz a.k.a. egeiz) have edited the pages accordingly because of to much speculation. "I Get Money" was released July 30th as confirmed by Def Sounds in the June 26th issued article.[1] In this article they also state "Follow My Lead" will be the next single EXPECTED to be released July 1st but please note it says expected, so it could be early July or in the coming week. Also in a newer article they state "She Want It" will be the next official single (third) so we will run with that for now as it's newer but "Follow My Lead" could be instead.[2] Even though "I Get Money" is noted as a single on the Myspace bulletin it is not confirmed whether it will be on Curtis or not, just a image with "NEW SINGLE", who it's produced by (Scott Boogie) and the Curtis release date. With that said, we have made the single a non-album single since Def Sounds confirms it will be not on the album. Until more develops please leave the page as edited. There is just simply too much speculation as of now to confirm it on the album.

Yes, a promotional single, a NON-ALBUM SINGLE, we even gave a source. What the hell is up with people not being able to read? --- Realest4Life 14:39, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
You guys never heard of non-album singles, promotional singles? I went to his MySpace, it only says it is a new single, it was released to create a buzz. However, we have a source that confirms that "I Get Money" is a non-album single, we have it mentioned in the article. --- Realest4Life 14:45, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

actually, iv been doin a little recon and i dono if we should cite defsounds as a credible source for the nonalbum single statement becuse it also said to that it was "I Get It" (Feat. Tony Yayo) so it was an obvious prediction, not positive tho, checkin bak 2 u boss, sry, i kno this is kind of a dead issue, o ye, reason iv been out is cuz nothin worthy of commentin lately, thats all, peace - NJ Rock

All right man, as soon as 50 Cent confirms it will be on the album, add it. Peace. --- Realest4Life 13:08, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

She Wants It - 50 Cent ft Justin Timberlake (produced by Timbaland)

I've got this song. Has 50 released it or has it been leaked?

BTW: It's HOT.

A Khan 14:11, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

It has been leaked. --- Realest4Life 14:16, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

which fuck keeps taking off the link to here it? btw it was released but interscope didnt authorize it--Breakout 02:07, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

I am the "fuck" which is removing your MySpace link. You are not allowed to promote for the song, and certainly not promote for your own MySpace. If you use language like that again, a block will most likely be waiting for you. --- Realest4Life 02:12, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

not my myspace my friend. secondly im not trying to promote anything. im simply trying to relay information to other people. and thank you but it is not needed to remind me what consequences i may receive. if im not mistaken thats not your department--Breakout 05:46, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

If I'm not mistaken, I could easily report you. Also, then why the hell do you always add that particular MySpace as a source? Even if it wasn't yours, you are not allowed to promote for the song, because whether you admit it or not, adding links to watch the video, with links that say "WATCH THE VIDEO FOR FREE HERE!!!" is not allowed here. --- Realest4Life 12:03, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Note, even if you didn't say that last part, it still would not be allowed. --- Realest4Life 12:30, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

lol bro that myspace is a 50 Cent shrine. its got everything at the moment it comes out. infact i have no clue who keeps that up. secondly, the smartest thing you couldve done was post soemthing on here saying to stop posting links. especially instead of tryin to threatin me with blocks. i perfectly understand the wikipedia "laws". --Breakout 02:50, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

and please tell me why this is acceptable --Breakout 02:53, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
You are right, that is not acceptable, so I removed that link. Sorry if I was rude, please accept my apologies as that was not what I intended. --- Realest4Life 03:26, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
i apologize also--Breakout 18:47, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Clean-Up (July 2007)

can someone who knows how to do it do it? last time i tried some bot or something complained to me —Preceding unsigned comment added by Breakout (talkcontribs)

I'm not sure what you mean by clean-up. The article is already at a pretty good standard considering we don't even know the track listing yet, 50 Cent makes constant changes (renames it like 5 times, releases non-album singles unexpected, controversy regarding the production of songs, now is working on three more songs, etc.), and this page is one of the top 100 most viewed pages on Wikipedia, with about 1200 views a day, so we revert the vandalism and unsourced statements pretty quickly. I don't know how much better it can get. The formatting is good, and as soon as the album is leaked and everything, we can probably take the album up to a "Start" level, instead of "Stub" level. --- Realest4Life 13:09, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
By the way, I changed the title of this section, so there wouldn't be two sections with the same name. --- Realest4Life 13:13, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

i mean like get rid of the crap that has been here since january. bunch of things that arent relevant anymore —Preceding unsigned comment added by Breakout (talkcontribs)

Please give an example, then we can see if it is appropriate to remove the statements or not. --- Realest4Life 03:31, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

for example the deletion tab above. this article clearly isnt going to be deleted --Breakout 05:44, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

What deletion tab are you talking about? --- Realest4Life 13:04, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

i beleive its titled "Deletion"--Breakout 23:49, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

You mean in the talk page? You don't get rid of that, that will soon be archived, you don't remove it. See Wikipedia:Talk page I believe for more information on this. --- Realest4Life 23:58, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Actually, I believe you want to read this Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines#When pages get too long also. --- Realest4Life 00:01, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

AYO Technology

dont delete my comment lol im just sick of this site having fake information, She Wants It is not the title of the new track, its called AYO Technology, it says on 50 cents Myspace its on there! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.42.108.63 (talkcontribs)

I am trying to get the song moved to its actual title now. --- Realest4Life 13:01, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Done. --- Realest4Life 14:07, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

"I Get It", not "I Get Money"?

The title of the song, as told by 50 Cent is actually "I Get It" in which he confirms in his latest radio interview with Funk Flex. He also confirms the title is indeed "AYO Technology," but I see that has been corrected. Even though it is titled "I Get Money" on his Myspace and in the released Promo CD, it may be incorrect but I think 50 Cent could also be the incorrect here. Here is a link to the interview and he states it at 5:27 in the audio clip titled, "I don't want to be the president of any label/BET Awards. Let me know what you guys think and what we should do, I moved the page earlier but moved back since the Promo CD clearly says "I Get Money". --Ayoleftyz 11:06, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

If the CD says "I Get Money", then it is "I Get Money". --- Realest4Life 13:41, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Sir, yes sir lmao. --Ayoleftyz 12:26, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

The Game and 50 Cent beef over?

How reputable is that source haha? Looks pretty fake to me. --Ayoleftyz 22:07, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

My thoughts exactly. It is obviously only a rumour, but the source is there, and until someone can confirm that The Game will not be on the album (which should only take a few more days), leave it here. --- Realest4Life 23:29, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Is this true...does anyone else have more news regarding it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trimy67 (talkcontribs)

No, probably not. It is obviously only a rumour, however, the source is there, so I guess we should just wait until 50 Cent or The Game deny it themselves. --- Realest4Life 02:36, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

according to HipHopDX.com it isn't happening. http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.5505/title.game-50-cent-reunite-yeah-right --Shadyaftrmathgunit 21:01, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Great, I already removed the rumour. --- Realest4Life 21:26, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Good job

Good job to everyone that helped bring this article from a "Stub" class to a "Start" class. --- Realest4Life 02:52, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Track listing

I think this track listing is incorrect also. Look at the producers, there is no Rotem involved, even though he discussed working with 50 Cent on the album. There is no "Fully Loaded Clip", the track listing found in the Amusement Park (song) article says the b-side is "Fully Loaded Clip". Yes, I know, singles often include non-album tracks on their b-sides, but one of the version is the "album" version. Also, the website named "AYO Technology" incorrectly; it refers to the song as "She Wants It". I will not remove the track listing yet, but I would like to see some other opinions. --- Realest4Life 21:03, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

I do not think that it was a very reliable source either. I kept it though because I thought that it would be good to hear some other opinions on it. I just added in the old one as well though. But my opinion is that it is incorrect. --The-G-Unit-Boss 21:16, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Yeah. Another thing, even though it was only a possibility, Young Jeezy is not featured on any of these tracks. Would anyone else like to give some input? --- Realest4Life 21:19, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Also, the source did not state where they got this information. At least the old version was confirmed by 50 Cent himself, this new track listing didn't say where they got it, no Interscope, no Aftermath, no Shady, no Eminem, no Dr. Dre, no 50 Cent, nobody. --- Realest4Life 21:29, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
I agree. I think that it should be removed because the tracks that have been confirmed by 50 Cent himself were, we believe, 100% correct. Also this new list somewhat degrades the article. --The-G-Unit-Boss 21:38, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
I personally didn't look at the site in which that info came from, but if it is true that they don't say where it was confirmed from, it should be taken off, or a notice should be put up on the fact that there was no "confirmation" from anyone involved. Just my opinion though. --JpGrB

been away for a while... umm, well it lists will.i.am as a producer for "Movin On Up" when a site confirmed jake one to hav produced that [See "Movin' On Up" in the Curtis Talk Archives] - NJ Rock

Does everyone agree that this new track listing should be removed? --- Realest4Life 23:02, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Yes, it is not relevant and obviously fake as it has "AYO Technology" listed as "She Wants It" and we all know that is not the title. Also how reputable is Yo! Raps anyways? I rather wait it out and be correct using what 50 Cent has said instead of posting "rumored"/fake track listings. --Ayoleftyz 23:35, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
OK, I removed it. --- Realest4Life 23:52, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

I Get Money

Hi, I think that "I Get Money" should be removed from the "Confirmed Tracks" section because it is not an album single. Or maybe we could have:

Confirmed tracks

The following tracks were confirmed by 50 Cent.[1][2][3][4][5]

Title Producer(s) Featured guest(s) Time
"All of Me" Jake One Mary J. Blige
"Amusement Park" Dangerous LLC 3:15
"AYO Technology" Timbaland Justin Timberlake & Timbaland 4:06
"Come & Go" Dr. Dre Eminem
"Fire" Dr. Dre Nicole Scherzinger & Young Buck
"Follow My Lead" Tha Bizness Robin Thicke
"Fully Loaded Clip" Havoc 3:14
"I'll Still Kill" Akon Akon
"Peep Show" Eminem Eminem
"Straight to the Bank" Dr. Dre & Ty Fyffe 3:12
"Touch the Sky" The Neptunes Tony Yayo

Non-Album tracks

Title Producer(s) Featured guest(s) Time
"I Get Money" Scott Boogie 3:46

No, because in an interview with XXL, he confirmed that it will be on the album. See the "I Get Money" page. --- Realest4Life 14:07, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Oh, right OK I didnt know that. --The-G-Unit-Boss 17:10, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
No problem. --- Realest4Life 17:20, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

iTunes

O, umm, iTunes confirmed a tracklist, doesn't include "Touch the Sky" but maybe it got taken off. I think you two should check it out and determine if we put it up. - NJ Rock

Can you print screen the order page or something to verify because I dont use iTunes so I can check it. --The-G-Unit-Boss 18:33, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Yeah same, I don't use iTunes, but can you first make a table here, with all the songs, features, everything, etc., then we can all work on it and just copy and paste it directly into the article? --- Realest4Life 18:35, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Its not real. i just checked it out on itune n it only has 17 songs. not only dose ith not have touch the sky it also dosnt have come & go. Fake —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)
Damn, thanks for pointing that out. --- Realest4Life 18:49, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
ya no problem —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)

then the kanye west one might not be real either, crap - Person who feels stupid

Yeah, I noticed it did not include "Here We Go Again", but maybe he decided not to include that song/re-name it. It seems real though, so I think we can leave that one up for now. --- Realest4Life 23:08, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
On shady records.com there is a link to pre order 50s alblum on itunes n 50 alson posted a myspace bulliton giving a link to itunes but it dosnt make sense cuz its not showing touch the sky and come and go on it???? what the hell —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)
Yeah, I noticed that also so I have posted the iTunes track listing underneath the songs confirmed by 50 Cent. It is possible he renamed "Come & Go" and "Touch the Sky" but unlikely. Anyways, until iTunes changes the track listing or 50 Cent proves it to be false, do not remove. I also spoke to Realest4Life about this. --Ayoleftyz 03:45, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
sounds good —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)
I have now removed the Confirmed tracks section and replaced it with the official track listing. This looks to be the official track listing and "Come & Go"/"Touch the Sky" probably have been saved for Before I Self Destruct. I am guessing "Fire" will now take "Come & Go"'s place as the fifth official single but we will have to wait for confirmation on that. --Ayoleftyz 03:58, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
i dont think u should put that up until 50 has another interview and comfirms it. i mean itunes has been wrong like 3 other times already so maby its a rummer just like the game one —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)
I wouldn't have put it if Fiddy's official Myspace didn't have a link to iTunes telling you to pre-order the album now, but it does. That is why I added it. --Ayoleftyz 04:11, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
u got a good point. i just wonder y come and go wouldnt b on the album —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)
Well, like I mentioned before he is probably saving it for Before I Self Destruct. I can't think of any other reason, also the way he was talking about "Fire" and how Eminem said it was a for sure hit, that will probably take "Come & Go"'s place as the fifth single. Who knows though. --Ayoleftyz 04:25, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
ya but i hope he dose plan on correctin itunes n adding more songs cuz it said he was goin to work on 8 more song. i hope he has another interview abut the album —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)

I am going to add a section for "Confirmed Tracks" because as other people have pointed out Itunes has been wrong in the past. We can keep the iTunes list and say that it is from there but we should also add the tracks that were confirmed by 50 cent as well. --The-G-Unit-Boss 12:12, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

By the way, his official Myspace including a link would be multiple sources as his Myspace is publishing the link, obviously proving it correct. That is a confirmation of a source, from another source, thus being multiple sources. I am fine with having both, but unfortunately (for your sake) I think the iTunes track listing is correct. Although, I do hope it's fake as I was really looking forward to hearing "Come & Go". --Ayoleftyz 12:21, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Ya it dose seem real but im just thinking that there are supposed to be more tracks but itunes didnt put them up yet or they messed up on the tracklisting so hopfully 50 has another interview coming up to confirm shit —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)

i agree that the itunes tracklist is a fake because there is no come & go and no touch the sky, i understand they could have been saved ut i doubt it and also it has recently been revealed that swiss beat produced some new tracks for the album (www.gunitoworld.com) which would have to be new, all the songs on the itunes tracklist without producers, the titles have already been heard of in previous tracklistings or other places —Preceding unsigned comment added by Empororllid (talkcontribs)

i just checked itunes again n they took off the funeral music video off of the tracklisting so maby they will keep making more adjustments...so who nows there could b more stuff added and taken away from the list befor it releases —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)

still will kill, not "ill still kill"

the song is called "still will kill", its what akon says on the hook, it rhymes, and it makes sense. LightSpeed2 03:04, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

It doesn't matter, 50 Cent confirmed the track as "I'll Still Kill". You do know, that people do name songs off the general idea of the content, not just by the chorus. Please do not change again or you will be reported. This is why we have references on Wikipedia to prove our edits. --Ayoleftyz 03:05, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Indeed. --- Realest4Life 03:13, 8 August 2007(UTC)
50 cent didnt say that, he was misquoted by a journalist, every major releaser has put a track list with "still will kill" as the name (itunes) . When the album comes out, you will be shut up so bad. LightSpeed2 18:59, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
He doesn't have to be "shut up so bad", he's done more for this page than you have, so stop complaining. --- Realest4Life 19:52, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

XXL

Did any one else c this interview on agust 3rd. 50 talked abouts straight to the bank and amusemnt park. the he talked about ayo technology n i get money saying how it will last him till the ablum comes out and the when curtis drops he wants to relese the other singles follow my lead and come & go. so wouldnt it make sence if come and go was still on the album —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)

Production

Jake One was never confirmed as the producer for "All of Me" and neither were The Neptunes for "Touch the Sky" or "Movin' on Up". If you have a reputable source, please post and they will be re-added. --Ayoleftyz 16:47, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

There is no legitimate source on the internet that lists all of the producers for each track. --braff234 15:05 1 September 2007

Name of the album

Wasn't the album name first "Before I Self Destruct", then changed to "Curtis", then changed to "Curtis S.S.K.", then changed to "Curtis" again? The first paragraph only says its name was changed from "Before I Self Destruct", to "Curtis S.S.K.", and then changed to just "Curtis". Which one is it? --- Realest4Life 23:07, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

I think its just curtis —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)
I know it's just "Curtis", what I don't know is how many times the album's name changed (and what it was changed to) until it was finally named "Curtis". --- Realest4Life 19:46, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Dispute With Kanye West

He was on BET and they asked him to debate Kanye West on who had a better album on live TV. He agreed to the debate, however Kanye did not. Then he came out with a statement saying "Let's raise the stakes. If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no longer perform music. I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out any more solo albums. They would like to see Kanye West give me a problem because I've worked myself into a space where I've become the favorite. Everybody roots for the underdog when he goes against the favorite. And I bet this: When Kanye West's sales come in, he's gonna have a 70 percent decrease cause Def Jam is gonna buy records the first week to keep him closer to 50 Cent. So watch the first week and then watch the second week. Watch his ass drop off the planet." I just thought that the whole thing should be on there. --- User: cwiggs91 23:43, 11 August 2007

That is too much information about this issue. I don't think there should be more than a paragraph. The page should try to talk about the album itself, not this competition. --- Realest4Life 12:18, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

That claim fif made about no longer writing albums if kanye outsells him is false. He signed a five album deal with shady aftermath, even if kanye does outsell him, his is contractually obligated to put out two more albums aka publicity stunt before his album drops —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.71.65.72 (talkcontribs)

That's what he stated, whether it is false or not is irrelevant, he stated it so it would deserve a mention. --- Realest4Life 14:15, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I would mention it in the 50 cent article instead of the Curtis article, I think the Curtis article should focus on the cd instead of the Curtis vs. Graduation album sale situation. volumesoxxs 21:22, 29 August 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Volumesoxxs (talkcontribs)

It's somewhat relevant, although I think that you shouldn't add anything else to it, it would simply be trivial and irrelevant, even adding it to the 50 Cent article wouldn't be such a great idea. The face-off deserves a mention because it did create some buzz, but 50 Cent said he won't retire if Graduation sells more than Curtis. We would have to compare the album sales every week. Instead, we should try to improve the overview of the album, not too much on its commercial success. More info on the critics' reviews, etc. --- Realest4Life 00:13, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Follow My Lead Video Leak

50's new video leaked, check out 50's reaction here. I think somewhere more experienced than me should check it out and add it to the article. Anyone think he will release the single now or wait? volumesoxxs 09:06, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

We don't need to give this a mention because one, it is recentism, and two, it is irrelevant, it might deserve a mention in "Follow My Lead"'s article, and it is mentioned, but not here. --- Realest4Life 14:17, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Come & Go (August 2007)

Maybe this has been brought up before, but why is "Come & Go" listed as a single despite iTunes not listing it? iTunes has been wrong before, so maybe they're wrong again. Spellcast 22:55, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

ya thats extactly what i was thinking —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat47 (talkcontribs)
It is listed as a single because 50 Cent confirmed it would be a single. Also, this article does not say that the iTunes track listing is correct, but it should still deserve a mention. That is why we still have the "Confirmed tracks" and the "iTunes" track listing. --- Realest4Life 23:25, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
It COULD have been renamed as one of the other songs... like "Bring Em In". Just pointing it out. - NJ Rock
things change over time, i bet its gonna be on g unit radio 25 or most likely on the next album LightSpeed2 17:42, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
50 Cent mentioned in his latest interview with Tim Kash from MTV that he was disappointed that he lost a hit record in "Follow My Lead" and that the CD's have already been pressed which doesn’t allow any room for track changes to the actual CD, so what you see on iTunes is most likely the real thing since it's already August 16. I expect the actual in-store copy of the CD to leak by the end of this week, so the wait shouldn't be much longer. The only way the iTunes track listing changes is if the in-store copy is different from the digital copy, meaning it would be changed before release but it's just too close to release date for that kind of change, in my opinion. --Ayoleftyz 17:50, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

I agree with LightSpeed2, I think it will end up on Before I Self Destruct. --- Realest4Life 18:03, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

My personal opinion is that all of the material that has currently been recorded for Before I Self Destruct will be scraped and released on mixtapes. Artists musical ideas etc change over time and I doubt that 50 Cent will still like or feel the same way about the Material next year. If "Come & Go" doesnt end up on the final cut then it will most likely be on "G-Unit Radio Pt.25" (Which im quite looking forward to). Also I actually hope that this album doesnt leak. Imagine how much of a fool 50 Cent would feel if Kanye did sell more than him. I dont want 50's album to leak because too many people download now and itll be all over the internet within hours. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 19:43, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Yes, well, it seems as though there are too many opinions and too little information about what is going to happen to the song. Right now, this is all speculation. The only thing we can do is wait for more information from 50 Cent himself or another reputable source. Other than that, we just have to be patient I guess. --- Realest4Life 19:54, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Guys i have a feeling that the tracklisting from itunes is 100% incorrect. most of them songs on the tracklisting were present on the past fake tracklisting, also many of them songs have appeared on past mixtapes before fiddy hit mainstream. Also i find it a bit bizzare how all released songs are grouped together on the albums...i know its already august but i think in the coming weeks 50 cent himself will confirm the tracklistingTrimy67 00:02, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Until 50 Cent confirms that iTunes is correct/incorrect, we still have both the "Confirmed tracks" and the "iTunes" track listing, so we can't go wrong. --- Realest4Life 00:11, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
I also think that the itunes tracklisting is fake except the only thing that convinses me that its real is the fact that there is a link on 50 Cent myspace page to itunesGoat47
Yeah, but 50 Cent's MySpace also has the old album cover, so that's not a very reliable source. --- Realest4Life 03:02, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

still will kill, not "ill still kill" part 2

its called "still will kill", mainly becqause when it leaked on the ringtone website thats what they called it, thats what itunes calls it. 50 never called it "ill still kill" LightSpeed2 07:48, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

iTunes messed up with the track listing before. Anyway, 50 Cent called it "I'll Still Kill" here (about 18:54 minutes in). Also, we have the "Confirmed tracks" (tracks confirmed by 50 Cent) and the "iTunes" track listing, because we don't know for sure if iTunes is right. He confirmed it as "I'll Still Kill", while iTunes has it as "Still Will Kill", it's not that complicated. We are simply reporting what 50 Cent said and what iTunes said. Stop making such a big deal out of this. --- Realest4Life 14:42, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Snippets & track listing

The track listing has been confirmed by the release of the complete album snippets so I have adjusted the section. The only difference between the iTunes track listing and the correct one is "Bring 'Em In" is replaced by "Come & Go" and "Touch the Sky" has been added instead of "Smile (I Am Leaving)". With that said, I left the iTunes track listing as a source but it can be removed. --Ayoleftyz 00:00, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't the article still have the other sources (that were removed) for producers? --- Realest4Life 01:41, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I removed iTunes track listing until it is updated and added HipHopDX as another source. --Ayoleftyz 02:51, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Seeing as "Smile (I Am Leaving)" was to be a bonus track, is it possible that the track may actually appear on the album, seeing as it might not be counted as... I don't know, just wondering if its possible that the track is on the album since 50 did hint an 18-cut album and we're left with seventeen. - NJ Rock —Preceding unsigned comment added by NJ Rock (talkcontribs) 04:57, August 28, 2007 (UTC)

Curtis vs Graduation

Curtis is a LOT better, all of the snippets are dope! See Here For Snippets

By the way has it been put in the article that both albums have snippets out?--¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 09:42, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

It was, but it was later removed, apparently it is not very notable to mention this. After the album is released, it probably won't be very notable. --- Realest4Life 15:51, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I suppose. If or when the whole album leaks surely it would be ok to put that it. e.g. in the future it could say something like "The whole album leaked a week before the release" or something? --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 16:24, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it'll be very relevant after it's offically released, I am OK with mentioning the full album leak before it's released, but after that it's not that important. --- Realest4Life 16:33, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I cosign that - NJ Rock 16:34, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I agree about adding the album leak to the page but on Sept. 11 I think it should be removed. I also think the full album snippet should be mentioned and then we can remove it on Sept. 11. Come to think of it, normally it wouldn't be relevant... but the snippets were released as part of the competition. LOL, a hundred times better than Graduation? Just stop, please lol. I like both of the artists equally but how can you compare Curtis to Graduation when the explicit version of Curtis hasn't even leaked yet? Some of the songs you can't even hear because of the profanity editing. Graduation is pretty impressive so I guess we'll have to wait and see. Also, like I said wait for the booklet. --Ayoleftyz 11:40, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Nah, that's not what I meant, I mean like, you will obviously choose a G-Unit member over most other artists. Your name says it all. So there's really no point in even telling us which album you think is better, it's hard to imagine a "G-Unit Boss" choosing Graduation over Curtis. --- Realest4Life 14:27, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

This is a question for the people who downloaded the (shitty) clean (who the hell would want a clean version?) version of the album. Is Young Jeezy featured there? If not, we should remove that part about Def Sounds reporting that The Snowman will be on the album. --- Realest4Life 14:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

No and Dr. Dre didn't produce "Come & Go" nor "Straight to the Bank", I will add the correct producers now. --Ayoleftyz 14:21, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Interscope is suspected to leak the album. But what I am surprised is the Release date. MTV Shows it on September 4th. UzEE (TalkContribs) 03:46, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Ok, There has has been hundreds of adding and removals of this. I think that we should just add that the albums hav ebeen leaked at least untill the official release of the album. It is informative and this is after all an encyclopedia. We can add it and then after the release, remove it. This will reduce the many reverts on this page --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 17:54, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

It's not notable regardless of anything. It would only be allowed to state info about the leak if it caused controversy or something was interesting about the leak - like it caused the release date of the album to change. Every new album gets leaked so why bother to state that the album got leaked? Douglasr007 04:34, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah it isn't notable, but what The-G-Unit-Boss meant is that it will be easier for the editors that are watching this article (me, The-G-Unit-Boss, Ayoleftyz, Shadyaftrmathgunit, etc.) to just leave it there until the album is released, because, unless someone is watching the page 24/7, we would not be able to remove it every time some anon adds it. I agree with both of you, it sure is a lot easier, but it isn't notable. --- Realest4Life 13:57, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
No. It's doesn't need to be on here period. Stop adding the info or I'm just going to ask for full protection for the page. Douglasr007 17:46, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Calm down, remove it if you wish, but then also help us with the vandalism that's coming from the anons. If you want full protection, ask for it, although it's not that bad. --- Realest4Life 17:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Haha, full protection eh? I'd say you need to calm down and quit causing such an issue. First of all, it is notable at the time. The album leaked to the Internet and people want to know that, hence why 400,000 anons are adding it like I said before. Second of all, the album is one of the biggest of year and third of all, like Realest said, removing it just creates more vandalism/more reverting. Leave it until the album is released and then remove it on the 9/11 because it’s definitely not notable than. Also, is it really that bothersome to leave it for another 10 days? Come on now, lol. --Ayoleftyz 19:25, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Biggest release of the year? So? Does this make it a special case? Do not add the mention of the album leaking. Removing it isn't going to cause vandalism if you're bold about keeping the info off the article. You got to learn how Wikipedia works sometimes. Douglasr007 22:49, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

I know exactly how Wikipedia works, you apparently don't know how groupies work. --- Realest4Life 01:04, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

I think it should be mentioned that the album has been leaked...every albums leakage gets noted when it happens so what makes curtis different. Also so far there is only a clean retail version of curtis floating around the internet as the explict versions are crappy and all skipping unless someone has a copy which means they should share the love. Also whats the big deal if its mentioned the album has leaked...like it was said..im sure plenty of people would like to know and it is very notable that the album has leaked with roughly 2 weeks before release date. Trimy67 07:13, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Actually, they shouldn't get noted, it simply isn't notable. I was not arguing to mention the leak because I think it should be there, I was arguing because I don't feel like having other users adding the same info every 5 minutes. Then we removed it later, because it's not notable. --- Realest4Life 14:45, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Executive Producer

I've added 50 Cent to the producer list as the executive producer of the album. SOmeone took some (shockingly bad) photos of the booklet and Dr.Dre, Eminem & Sha Money XL aren't mentioned as executive producers this time around. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q154/drehype07/c4.jpg I guess we'll just wait until the release date to put on the right production credits, but half of the producer list is fake. (RomanZayus 10:00, 1 September 2007 (UTC))

Yeah, just hold off until the album is fully released or we actually have a full pic of the booklet with all of the production credits. I will go ahead and 50 Cent as exec. producer though, good fine. I know people are going to be surprised by the new producers list haha. Half of the stuff is produced by in-house and rather "unknown" producers. --Ayoleftyz 12:39, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm going to go ahead and add the correct producer's list that was taken from the booklet of the clean version that was leaked. Reception & "Come & Go"

OK, now that AllHipHop.com recently reviewed the album, I made a new section ("Reception") just for critical reviews. As soon as a new review (not any review though, take a look at this and this for more information) comes out, add it to the infobox first (formatting is easy), and then to the "Reception" section. Look at the AllHipHop review as an example on what other reviews should look like (more or less).

Now, I don't know about you guys, but I just see "Come & Go" titled "Come and Go" by almost everyone out there. Should we go ahead and change it ourselves? Or should we wait until the album is officially released? No one said it's "Come & Go", I don't know who created the page like that, but it might be "Come and Go". What do you guys think? --- Realest4Life 23:16, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

In the booklet it doesn't say anything bout the production of come & go. It says recorded by veto & roomio. But if you look at fire it says produced by dr. dre, recorded by veto & roomio. Veto & Roomio are sound engineers and I think they work for Dre. These are the only 2 songs they 2 worked on. So Come & Go should be produced by Dre.--KarmaLoop 17:44, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

I think theres going to be 3 more tracks on the album, Whoo Kid was on Shade45 a couple days ago talking about it. The original "Come & Go" with Eminem will be one of them and they will re-name the other one to "Bring Em In" which has vocals from Dr. Dre. One of the tracks are said to have a very special guest appearance.. one that will change Hip-Hop. I'm not 100% sure about this though. --KarmaLoop 03:02, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Producers for "Come & Go" and "Straight To The Bank"

According to the sources I've found, "Come & Go" is produced by Dr. Dre, and "Straight To The Bank" is produced by Dr. Dre & Ty Fyffe. So unless someone has more recent sources that correct my edit, people need to stop changing it.

The album booklet was leaked along with the album (obviously) and Roomio & Veto were credited for "Come & Go" and Ty Fyffe was solely credited for "Straight to the Bank". Come & Go (September 2007)

I changed it back to Dr. Dre - it says it right there in the credits above this post. And Dawaun Parker & Mark Batson always play on Dre produced records. (RomanZayus 14:04, 12 September 2007 (UTC))

Is that exactly what the credits say? If so, Roomio & Veto still didn't produce the song - there's more evidence suggesting Dr. Dre is the producer - Ain't Nothing Going On But F****n is his publishing label, he's listed in the credits next to 50 Cent & Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and once again, Dawaun Parker & Mark Batson are his musicians. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RomanZayus (talkcontribs)
Uuuhh, Dr. Dre is listed as a song writer, how is there more evidence suggesting he is the producer? Roomio and Veto did everything but the boards, so they are the most reasonable to credit for production, definitely not Dr. Dre. --Ayoleftyz 15:16, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Dr. Dre doesn't write his own lyrics - he obviously didn't write the chorus to this song, so what exactly did he do on the record to be given a songwriting credit? Why aren't Roomio & Veto listed as songwriters if THEY were the producers? Did they also produce Fire? They're listed in the credits for that as well.. and that's a Dre track. At least the other producers on the album (except for Apex) have previous credits to their own name - that, and they're all given songwriting credit for the songs they produced. I don't know why Dre's name has been removed from the mixing/production credits for Come & Go, but if 50 said he produced it in an interview months ago, and he's got the writing credit, and his own team (Roomio, Veto, Parker & Batson) were all involved in making the record then it was most likely Dre. Either that or the producer is unknown, but it's sure as shit not Roomio & Veto. (RomanZayus 15:24, 12 September 2007 (UTC))
All I can tell you is either leave Roomio and Veto or don't credit a producer at all since Dr. Dre isn't listed. Just because he is credited with songwriting credits doesn't mean he automatically produced the song. So we can decide to do one or the other, your choice. --Ayoleftyz 15:34, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
I'd prefer if we just left it blank until we had some absolute confirmation one way or the other. (RomanZayus 00:02, 13 September 2007 (UTC))

I don't think the sales info for Curtis Or Graduation should be included in the articles as of yet. So Sept. 11 release date they said Curtis was neck and neck with Chesney. A day later they wrote Curtis sold 3x what his album sold first day. According to reports I've read Graduation and Curtis are very close. I.E. Curtis is number 1 on iTunes and Graduation is number 2. Ah sorry, that was in no way meant to criticize anything in the article. That was said entirely general. It just seems to me that everybody in the US is focused so much on that dam Billboard charts neglecting any other sales figures.
However, yes, Wikipedia is a worldwide reference and should have a worldwide focus. And that specific competition has had worldwide attention so it should be mentioned, but from a worldwide POV and not a US POV as usually portrayed in the media. Does that make sense? --

Curtis 2x Platinum Worldwide?....

On the same day as Kanye West, another heavyweight in Universal Music Group’s stable of hip-hop artists let loose a new album: Curtis , in record stores on September 11, is 50 Cent’s third release on the Aftermath label. This new album of authentic, no-frills, uncompromising rap from 50 Cent (whose real name is Curtis Jackson) includes guest appearances by some of the biggest names in the business, from Eminem to Dr. Dre and Timbaland.

Curtis has already racked up sales of nearly 2 million in less than a week and appears on track to match the records set by 50 Cent's previous albums, Get Rich or Die Tryin', which sold 11 million copies and became the top-selling record of 2003, and The Massacre , released in 2005 with sales of nearly 8 million. Yeah, it's cool, I am never going to use that "MediaTraffic.de" website ever again. I thought that that was the official website for the United World Chart or something like that. I don't understand this, according to Wikipedia, MediaTraffic is the official website of the United World Chart, so, I guess I was right. But, how come Vivendi and Billboard say Curtis sold almost 2 million, while MediaTraffic said it sold about 900k? Something is messed up here. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 14:29, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

aCharts.us, the source used for most of the chart positions in this article, also claims Graduation topped the United World Chart, so, basically, it's Vivendi (and Billboard, but we can't use it as a source since it's subscriber only, so that might be against WP:VERIFY and WP:OR, not sure) claim it sold 1.9 million, and that Graduation sold 1.6 million, so they are saying Curtis was first. Now, both Vivendi and Billboard are saying the same thing, Curtis topped the United World Chart, while the United World Chart says Graduation came out on top. Although MediaTraffic might seem to be wrong, they are the official website of the UWC. Basically, it's Vivendi against the United World Chart itself. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 16:14, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Also, please don't remove the UWC chart position, I don't care if MediaTraffic has porn ads, I don't care about what Vivendi says, I don't care about what Billboard.biz says (hypothetically speaking, DiehardDanny could be lying, I'm not saying you are, but that's why it fails WP:OR and WP:VERIFY), I don't care what Kanye West said, MediaTraffic is the official website of the United World Chart, and if the United World Chart said Curtis came in second, then we say it came in second. Would any of you even be arguing if Vivendi said Curtis sold less than what UWC said it sold? Probably not. Maybe UWC messed up and they will correct it, maybe they were right, but until we know for sure what happened, they are the most reliable source there is. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? I don't get why you accuse me of lying but I may also not care. I live on facts, and I have never stated anything in here without giving any reference. However all those charts seem so f*cked up, it's really hard to actually believe any of those. "Curtis" was out in Europe Sept. 7th and 10 days later it was still not even mentioned in any album chart. Does that make sense to you? Not to me. Also there are often varying charts for the same country, what a mess. Also some 'official' charts laggin 2-3 weeks behind. If UWC is based on those, it's no surprise that not much makes sense there.
Besides that, I just decided to stay away from Wikipedia as much as I can since I have better things to do with my precious time. --DiehardDanny 17:11, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

aCharts, the website used for all the chart positions. That's not the problem, the United World Chart is a credible source, they are the official chart for worldwide sales, Vivendi is not. They don't mess up, and if they do, they fix it. That's why we had Vivendi there for a week until the UWC posted the second week sales, and since the second week sales were similar (Graduation on top), and because they only sold like 300k in their second week (so, you're telling me, that they will go down from 2 million to 300k? Come on, no one decreases that much), Vivendi was removed. Also, no one else, including 50 Cent himself, has confirmed these 2 million. The United World Chart also listed the worldwide sales for some top albums.[10] They say Get Rich sold 7.9 million worldwide, despite other sources saying 12 million. It's there because of UWC being retarded. It was there for a week until the UWC gave the second week sales, because I assumed that since no one reported a mistake by the UWC, that the UWC is right. Now I don't know which one is right, so there's both. You don't get what I'm saying, do you? If it will be proven to be wrong, Vivendi will not be here. Yes, Billboard is more reputable, however, they don't add up the sales for us. SOHH does. The only reason the number was different (from the number that I got by adding Billboard's new sales to the total sales posted by SOHH last week) was because SOHH added like an extra 100 copies last Thursday, and this time they had 100 less, so now I guess they fixed it. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? Media Traffic

Spellcast was right about the Media Traffic sales for Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre, however, at the bottom of the page it states:

:ENCIRCLED THE WEEKLY CHARTS FROM JANUARY 2003 TILL AUGUST 25, 2007

THE FIGURES ARE THE CUMULATIVE SALES OF AN ALBUM DURING ITS TIME ON THE TOP 40 LIST
COPYRIGHT (C) 2006 - MEDIA TRAFFIC

Therefore, Media Traffic is not wrong about the sales for 50 Cent's previous two albums. That's just the amount they sold while they were on the top 40. You guys said there is a video of Kanye West on 106 & Park confirming those 1.6 million worldwide sold by Graduation. No one has uploaded it yet, and it's been almost a month. You guys said that Jay-Z confirmed Graduation's sales, no one has given a link to that yet. Even if you do, what does that have to do with Curtis' sales? DiehardDanny said Billboard.biz has the album's sales at 1.9 million, but that can only be viewed if you subscribe to it, so you can't use that as a source. No one other than Vivendi has confirmed these 2 million. If a week from now (that's Thursday, October 18th) no one finds a source confirming these 2 million, OTHER than Vivendi (by the way, that was removed a long time ago, we could use that Def Sounds link since they are reporting what Vivendi said, but even they put it under the "rumor" section), I will remove Vivendi and stick with Media Traffic and WorldWideAlbums.net. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 19:57, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Ah, I have to remember to read the fine print! And regarding billboard.biz, I'll ask someone who I think may have access to it. Spellcast 21:14, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
If anybody who has access can print screen it and upload it, that would be sufficient would it not? --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 21:26, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Probably. I don't see why it wouldn't be sufficient. Then we can have the actual sales stated by Billboard.biz and Media Traffic, not Media Traffic and Def Sounds reporting what Vivendi said. Much better that way, both the United World Chart and Billboard are reputable sources. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 21:34, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
I've asked User:Ericorbit who seems to know a lot about Billboard. DiehardDanny said billboard.biz had Curtis at 1.9 million and Graduation at 1.6 million. Judging by the source he gave, which put Curtis ahead of Graduation in the European charts, it could support the claim Curtis sold more than Graduation. Also, Media Traffic doesn't include all countries. Billboard gets their info from SoundScan. And since Vivendi has the same figure billboard.biz apparently gave, I'm assuming they also used SoundScan for their sales. Spellcast 22:17, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
I would assume Vivendi used SoundScan also, but if that Ericorbit guy subscribes to Billboard.biz, then he will have to print screen it or something, like The-G-Unit-Boss said. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 00:45, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah Eric said he did an archive search but couldn't find anything yet. And since Media Traffic doesn't include all countries, that could explain the contradiction between Vivendi's sales and the UWC's. I wonder if it's possible if the countries Media Traffic don't include sold a million copies collectively. Spellcast 00:54, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
OK, so once Eric finds out what the worldwide sales are, we remove the United World Chart sales. We keep the Vivendi sales only because we need first week sales, but for total sales we use that Billboard.biz stuff. Also, can you ask him to get the sales for Graduation as well? It would also be great if he gives us updated sales once every few weeks. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 03:19, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
There has been no response suggesting nothing was on billboard.biz in the first place. And I don't even know if billboard.biz gives weekly sales. So are you going to keep the Vivendi sales or stick with UWC? Spellcast 00:02, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
I'll probably keep the Vivendi sales. That's only because you said UWC does not include all countries, even though I find it hard to believe that they are off by over a million copies. --- Who's the one you call Mr. Macho? The head honcho, swift fist like Camacho 00:07, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
