Return from Draft

[edit]

@Sportsfan 1234 moved this page to Draft, not 100% sure why, I was pretty thorough with my sources and since the World Curling Federation announced it's requirements for the Olympics here: https://worldcurling.org/olympic-qualification/ It might be a touch early, but only a little. I would like to respectfully start a petition to return this page to regular wikipedia. Thank you. Edwyth (talk) 21:53, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see from the Draft space article teams have already done enough to qualify for the Pre-Olympic Qualification Event and Olympic Qualification Event and I believe that is worthy of documentation. Edwyth (talk) 21:56, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It will likely be deleted at this point. Your work is good and I rather not have it deleted. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 22:41, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why is it likely to be deleted? Edwyth (talk) 00:08, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

shading and clinching

[edit]

I don't understand why next year's hosts were both highlighted as assured of being in the OQE if this year's hosts were not treated the same. In both men's and women's it is possible to have 13 nations (other than Italy) at 13 points so I adjusted to show that reality. If I have missed something obvious my apologies.18abruce (talk) 21:30, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It was simply that I hadn't done the math yet to figure out where that OQE cutoff was, thank you for your help! Edwyth (talk) 21:17, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The inexplicable edits were not yours, thanks for chiming in though.18abruce (talk) 14:13, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can still have 13 nations (other than Italy) finish with 13 or more points (in men's and women's) so the shading and clinching scenarios have not changed. It cannot change until the european championship progresses, the pan continental championship changed very little. Please provide some sort of rationale before changing.18abruce (talk) 23:38, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In case anyone cares I thought I would outline the only changes possible during the european championships. In men's: if Austria does not qualify for the world championships then the top twelve are known and all are shaded, that's it. In women's: when Switzerland qualifies for the worlds they get shaded regardless of any other outcome, if both Hungary and Lithuania fail to qualify for the worlds the top twelve are known and all get shaded, if both qualify then Korea gets shaded (in addition to Switzerland).18abruce (talk) 13:19, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
the previous post is incorrect, sorry.18abruce (talk) 10:46, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
