Scots name
[edit]I am sceptical of the claimed spelling in Scots "Cullain", Culzean is already a Scots name (i.e. English borrowed the name from Scots). I can find "Cullain" in the reference (C, page 86) however that old online dictionary cites no sources - it may be a more recent phonetic simplification removing the letter z/ȝ (yogh). The only alternative Scots spelling that I can find is "Colean" in the 1785 Burns poem Halloween (https://poets.org/poem/halloween). If there are no objections I will edit the Scots name to Culzean, alternatively Colean with the Burns poem as reference. Gealstrix (talk) 18:31, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
Glenside Station
[edit]I'm a new user - there's a possible page link with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenside_railway_station if anyone fancies adding the info. ElenaTrimarchi (talk) 13:31, 27 January 2016 (UTC)

Palm trees?
[edit]How the hell do they get palm trees to grow in Scotland? Jmcmahan 02:19, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- Have you not heard of the Gulf stream? They are grown much further north than Culzean – see Inverewe Garden. DFH (talk) 13:03, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
