No controversy coverage?
[edit]Nothing at all on the controversy of the Saudi Arabian money etc? Hardly a balanced article, just a pro-WWE piece of propaganda. MPJ-DK (talk) 16:10, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- This was covered pretty extensively for Greatest Royal Rumble. Other than the missing journalist, there isnt really anything new to add, is there? - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 18:06, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Galatz: @MPJ-DK: Yes there is, but we just let need more information from sources to come in. There are a lot. There also political mumbling with Linda McMahon being part of Trump/Mike team. We just have to wait for more articles to expand on this issue first then we add the "controversy" section on this page. Colton Meltzer (talk) 21:04, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- As GRR, it should be a controversy section. WWE recieves pression from politics, also Mayor Kane. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 15:14, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Honestly, This whole content of this "Crown Jewel" Wikapedia page should be wiped due to "very deep level of disturbing act" from Saudi Arabia country after the claimed killings of a journalist. So the free encyclopedia can stop promoting such content for Saudi Arabia. Colton Meltzer (talk) 04:30, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
- What? Delete the article? Why?--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 12:15, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
- They removed all information about the event from their official website. SouthAsianGuy891 (talk) 16:56, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
- WIKIPEDIA, a encyclopedia, should not be a place to promote such act by the country for viewing purpose, and considering moving forward of limiting or removing the mention of "Saudi Arabia" related information and country/city. It just disgusting see some journalist getting killed by Arabia. Following the WP:AS Guidance. Colton Meltzer (talk) 19:30, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- What does the article size have to do with anything? Any relevant information (not trivial and not speculation) that is properly sourced has a place on wikipedia, whether you agree with it politically or not. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 19:53, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Colton_Meltzer/sandbox This how the page should look like be without fully promoting disturbing information for this WWE Network Event. Its not about agreeing, but Wikapedia should not endorse such actions like this. This something new and must be proceed following WWE.com Crown Jewel page. Colton Meltzer (talk) 23:43, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- What? Of course not. Wikipedia it's an encyclopedia. Distubing information or not, if it's notable it should be noted. Something happened in the Kingdom and WWE had preasure to cancel the event. There is nothing wrong to put the informtion. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 23:53, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Colton Meltzer: you should read WP:NPOV - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 14:09, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

@Galatz: WWE.com Crown Jewel, distance itself from the Saudi Arabia which indicates WWE no longer displaying the location meaning the location info of this event is unknown. All "Saudi Arabia related" should be removed until the event starts. Colton Meltzer (talk) 20:59, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
- Right, I forgot wikipedia policy says "All information must be supported by INDEPENDENT reliable third party information, unless Colton Meltzer does not like it, in which case we throw all policies out the window and Colton Meltzer will dictate what is stated" - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 21:40, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
- So far Date info, City info, Venue Info and Sponsor maybe incorrect and should have some notice next to it per local sources (there are a lot but not going link 30 of it). Controversial edits will proceed even if page protected, They maybe source issues as updates come by. Colton Meltzer (talk) 23:50, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
Conversational citing issues
[edit]WWE official source events details site no longer show location, sponsor and venue after news broke out on Oct 18, 2018. https://www.wwe.com/events We need more verification and updated sources (pass Oct 18, 2018) to confirm if the locations and venue still remained the same.Colton Meltzer (talk) 19:57, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
- I thought you said you were going away? - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 01:15, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
- More Verification needed for City info, Venue Info and Sponsor
- Location Details
- Venue Details
- Sponsors
Reason? News broke out on October 18, 2018 with Saudi Arabia involved in the killing of Jamal Khashoggi and the same time WWE.com official source event site removed locations..ticket information and other info related to Saudi Arabia of this event. We need more source later than October 18, 2018 to verify if the event remained in the same. Colton Meltzer (talk) 20:10, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- No we don't. Wikipedia goes by independent third party, not what WWE.com has. Unless there is a source that contradicts the ones currently in the article, the current ones are correct and nothing further is needed. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 20:28, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Galatz:WP:PRIMARY The wwe.com/events page is the primary source. WWE removed those "details" off their sites completely after the new broke out October 18, 2018. This one worst since 9/11. So far the Location Details,Venue Details and Sponsors are inaccurate. Only solution for this is to wait until November 2, 2018 when the event starts. Plain and simple. Too much Conversational edits right now. Colton Meltzer (talk) 20:59, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- No, nothing has stated it wont take place there. Unless you have a source specifically stating they will no longer be in Saudi Arabia it is correct. Your theory that one ties to the other is WP:OR. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 21:04, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- Already show you the Primary source, but waiting for Event to start to improve the accurate information if needed. Currently its just inaccurate no matter what. This just a conversational upcoming special event from WWE. Colton Meltzer (talk) 21:17, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- Inaccurate based on what? Show one thing that says it wont be taking place in Saudi Arabia. Lack of details is not saying there was a change, just a PR move. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 21:36, 22 October 2018 (UTC)

- How about just wait until the event starts, so we can adjust information as needed. Now news updates on "WWE Crown Jewel is in trouble" due to injuries of Roman Regins. John Cena and Daniel Byran possibly not going. Just wait for the event to start. 21:45, 22 October 2018 (UTC)Colton Meltzer (talk)
- This is pointless and stupid. There is no source about WWE pulling the events out of Arabia Saudi. Every article and new say the event would take place in Arabia Saudi. No reason to delete the details.--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 22:56, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
It is what it is. Colton Meltzer (talk) 23:01, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- Correct, and according to CNBC it is a show in Suadi Arabia [1]. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 15:49, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Galatz: WP:NOTSPECULATION <--- . Just simply wait for the Special Non PPV Event to start to confirm the details. All we seeing in the reliable sources changes like everytime, so lets wait for the event to start or Turkish Investigation is concluded.
Not to Note WWE made a statement WWE still ‘monitoring the situation’
Colton Meltzer (talk) 21:06, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- Exactly, WP:NOTSPECULATION. All you are doing is speculating, not following the sources. Now knock it off and go away like you said you were going to do. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 21:10, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- Every reliable source confirms the event will take place in Arabia Saudi. The conversation is dead, Meltzer, you're saying nonsenses. If WWE decides to change the country or cancel the event, then it would be updated. Until then, stop waisting our time with pointless discussions. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 21:11, 23 October 2018 (UTC)

Reliable source information about this issue changed every time. That why i ask to wait for the event to start and no more speculation is needed guys. Accuracy of the information is the goal. Colton Meltzer (talk) 21:16, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- Nothing changed about the place or the sponsor since the issue started. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 21:20, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- Wait for the Event to start and wait for the event to start. Accuracy of the information is the goal to confirm the location/venue/sponsor details. Colton Meltzer (talk) 21:16, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- All WP:RS state it is still happening there. Therefore not including it is WP:OR. Plain and simple, its WP policy. If you don't like it go to WP:VPP and try and say you think WP:OR should be allowed. Good luck with that. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 21:24, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- Conversation ended.
- WWE has confirmed it will occur in Saudi Arabia as planned. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 13:52, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

@Galatz: This part of information would be changed much more matching to the issue. This is not just a normal WWE Event. Its a controversial WWE Event. Is this good? Colton Meltzer (talk) 20:40, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
- Its probably the worst suggestion you have ever had, and you have had plenty of terrible ones. It is WP:UNDUE and a violation of WP:LEAD - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 01:04, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Galatz:@HHH Pedrigree: The direction was trying get at for this specific WWE Crown Jewel is limit the promoting of information and navigation. When users can just google the Crown Jewel-Arabia Killing of Khashoggi for article. Wikapedia is NOT the place for Hate despite guidelines. It doesn`t matter now cause WWE made a bad choice and went forward with to promote this disgusted Event...now their Stock is going keep crashing. When they should of relocated out of the country then their Money would be less impacted. Welp back to UFC 230
Colton Meltzer (talk) 23:04, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
John Cena reportedly not working at the event.
[edit]Well just reports, but no confirmation yet, your choice entirely whether to add or not. http://www.mandatory.com/wrestlezone/news/1014479-wwe-crown-jewel-sellout-lashley-cena SouthAsianGuy891 (talk) 19:48, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- The majority of rumors are made up. There is no proof this is anything other than guys like Dave Meltzer (or whoever) trying to stir the pot. If he doesn't show up then something about it can be added. MarioFan78 (talk)
- I think the same. Cena and Bryan rumours has been in the internet for days. I would wait until the event and then, include it if Cena and/or Bryan don't show up. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 15:00, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Both have been pulled from the event and replaced with Bobby Lashley (Cena) and Samoa Joe (Bryan) per WWE.com Chris "WarMachineWildThing" Talk to me 04:46, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
Renee Young
[edit]Someone should add a mention about Renee Young commentating on the show. That sounds like progress to me. They weren't allowed to bring any women last time. http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/renee-young-crown-jewel/
