I disagree with the deletion of links to homepages: [Wikipedia:External_links|EL Policy] says "Articles about any organization, person, or other entity should link to their official site, if they have one." It seems to me that this naturally extends to articles about a group of people, and the links don't fall under any of the classes that are supposed to be deleted. - The preceding unsigned comment was added by John Quiggin (talk • contribs) .

I understand the argument that you're making, and I can see its merits. I'd propose that any member with an article should have their homepage/etc link in their parent article, and that any member without an article was of a level of notability that meant that Crooked Timber's homepage was the best (encyclopedic) representation of them. - brenneman(t)(c) 11:38, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted for the moment as I see you've gone on Wikibreak. While I agree the policy can be read either way, I think the article is more useful to readers with links than without them. Happy to discuss further when you get back JQ 01:50, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More "wiki slow" than "wikibreak" right now... physical addiction is a horrible thing, and cold turkey isn't advised. But unfussed by delaying this talk until another day. - brenneman(t)(c) 02:03, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
