Name Change
[edit]Since they haven't used "The Irish Airborne" in years, Ohio is for Killers is what they are well known as now, I'm thinking it would be good to have a name change on the article. Thoughts? Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 02:45, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
- Mmmm, it's a hard one, since they appears at Impact as oVe. I mean, I don't know their work in the independent circuit, but looks like the national exposure they gained with impact makes Ohio Versus Everyone is the common name, isn't?. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 18:01, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
- They became even bigger once they changed their name to Ohio is for Killers. But general naming conventions usually go with the name that they used on a mainstream or national level. It might end up being changed to Ohio Versus Everyone. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 02:15, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
- Prefer "Ohio Versus Everything" - realistically TNA has a much larger market penetration than the other places they've wrestled under other names. McPhail (talk) 20:41, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- It's not TNA. It's Impact Wrestling. ;) We need to be accurate when speaking on different eras of the company. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 09:42, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Ohio Versus Everything
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Ohio Versus Everything's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Ohio Versus Everything → The Crist Brothers – This article is about Dave Crist and Jake Crist. But it looks like this article became another article. I think we should create another article named Ohio Versus Everything, and move this article to The Crist Brothers. It should be just like The Usos article, or the The Young Bucks article. Etacarinaee (talk) 00:08, 8 July 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. Anarchyte (talk | work) 03:05, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose - Why move this article to then just create an article about a sub-topic? The WP:COMMONNAME is OVE, so no reason to move it. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 15:34, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
- I asked the same. The article is like two or three articles. 1 is about the crist brothers, since the most part is about them. OVE is like a stable they entered, like NWO and The Outsiders, or redragon and Undisputed era. I think The Crist brothers should have his own article and crate another for OVE, focusing in the stable.--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 19:12, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
- @HHH Pedrigree: But they are the only two in the group, which this article makes pretty clear. They are billed as "OVE and Sami Callihan" when they wrestle in 6 man tags. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 14:14, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Galatz: In fact, another user deleted the information about the other members. [1] to focus more on the crist brothers. Ohio is 4 Killers includes several members [2]. In their profile, Impact says Callihan joined oVe. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 14:58, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- @HHH Pedrigree: Perhaps Ohio is 4 Killers shouldn't be included as a name in the infobox and that would solve the issue. Right now this article is titled OVE, which is the Impact tag team name for the Christ brothers. Sami Callihan is not billed as a member of OVE. The Bound for Glory 2018 webpage shows it with Callihan with OVE [3]. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 15:11, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- Well, if the article OVE is focused just on the brothers and no other members (OI4K or Callihan/Fulton) I would oppose to the name change--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 16:06, 22 July 2019 (UTC)

- As far as I am aware, OVE is Callihan/Irish Airbourne/Fulton) and OI4K is Irish Airbourne. This Impact source says that Sami joined the group OVE at Bound For Glory. This reliable source [4] refers to the trio as members of OVE. StaticVapor message me! 07:05, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- @STATicVapor: Interesting. I have always seen them on TV introduced as Callihan and OVE, not the three of them being called OVE together. Its interesting that the Impact source you provided says he joined in 2017 but 1 year after that the Impact source I gave refers to him the way I described. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 13:45, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- Hmm interesting. Impact Wrestling needs to get their stuff straight lol. Their bio also refers to him as a member and the leader of OVE. You will also see reliable sources calling the group OVE, this is just one example [5]. If anything they might mention him specifically on television just because he is the most known member. StaticVapor message me! 01:56, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
- I searched cagematch and they have 3 impact matches with all three members teaming together [6] [7] [8] and they all list "oVe (Dave Crist & Jake Crist) & Sami Callihan". I havent watched Impact since they moved from Pop since I no longer get their show. So I do not know what is happening with Fulton, actually first I heard about this (wow, Impact really does not get talked about anymore, huh). The most recent videos on the Impact YouTube channel seems to phrase it the same way [9] [10] [11] [12]. So I have no idea what to think - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 14:17, 24 July 2019 (UTC)

- Support: As stated above, this article covers the Crist Brothers rather than OVE as a whole. OVE currently is the 4 man faction of Callihan, the Crists and Fulton. In addition, this is the most well-known the Crists have been and it's as *part* of OVE, not the whole shebang. SkylerLovefist (talk) 07:25, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
- Meybe, it's like TMDK and LAX. Homicide and Hernandez are the most famous part of LAX, but they aren't LAX. If they work as part of other stable (like The OGz vs LAX) they aren't LAX. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 14:18, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
- Correct, similar to how Hall and Nash were part of the nWo, for example, but they weren't the nWo proper, they were the Outsiders. In the same way, Dave and Jake are part of OVE, but as a team they have been referred to as "Jake and Dave Crist." Madman Fulton also wears an OVE T-Shirt on TV, indicating his membership in the faction.SkylerLovefist (talk) 10:07, 26 July 2019 (UTC)
- It should also be noted they all use the same entrance music too, which is an OVE chant over top of music. SkylerLovefist (talk) 02:26, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: move OI4K to Ohio Versus Everything. The article The Crist Brothers will stay where it is. (closed by non-admin page mover) GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 17:49, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
The Crist Brothers → Ohio Versus Everything – There was a discussion, which currently lives at Talk:The_Crist_Brothers#Requested_move_8_July_2019. The closing admin closed it with No consensus to move; substatial opposition to redefining the article scope
. Yet despite this, a user chose to unilaterally move the article and split it into The Crist Brothers and OI4K. Please undo the split and move the page back into one. Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 12:32, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

- @Galatz and Dicklyon: queried move request Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:37, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
- You mean the closing non-admin, but yes, it should move back and unsplit, pending further discussion. Dicklyon (talk) 00:37, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
- WP:Parallel histories. Since the split event, both pages The Crist Brothers and OI4K have been edited several times. Someone will have to text-merge these 2 pages, and put a history information ==section== in Talk:The Crist Brothers. Sorry; I am in England and I know nothing about American wrestlers. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:37, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: there's no significant history at Ohio Versus Everything, the original title, and the only history here since the split is move-warring. It should be safe to just move this page back to that title and leave the editors to revert as they see fit. Nothing needs to be done with OI4K, it does not appear to be using text from this page, and a different editor created it than removed text from here (and nearly two months apart); they could just nominate it for deletion. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 15:22, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
- Comment – I think it is proper to have two articles since it appears Irish Airborne the tag team and the 4-man stable OVE are both notable. In my opinion the stable should have the title "Ohio Verses Everything" as that is the clear common name of the stable. It can also be argued that The Crist Brothers were best known for performing as the tag team "Ohio Versus Everything", but if we were to give that title to the faction article then that would leave us with either Irish Airborne or Crist Brothers for Jake and Dave's article and I would support it being called Crist Brothers. So this one should stay here and OI4K should be moved to Ohio Versus Everything. StaticVapor message me! 20:45, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Ivanvector: For clarity :: in "It should be safe to just move this page back to that title" :: please state the names of "this page" and "that title". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:31, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: it should be safe to move The Crist Brothers (this page) back to Ohio Versus Everything (the former title). Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:10, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose the other title is appropriate for the stable, not just the tag team, this is better than OI4K (professional wrestling stable) and OI4K (tag team) or some other construct. MPJ-DK (talk) 01:52, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

Dave Crist
[edit]Why has this article been edited to just be about one brother, with Dave removed? Is it because of the allegations against him? They are an important aspect. If this article is just going to be about Jake then rename it for him, and then create a separate article about Dave. Either that, or this piece should be restored to it's original form with both brothers full stories. 185.150.170.2 (talk) 12:38, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- I agree with you. The article should be reverted to this version if something notable or new has not been added since then.--Mark Linton (talk) 05:58, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
