Haunted by Mary queen of scots

[edit]

Craignethan Castle near Lanark, where she sought refuge after her escape from Loch Leven, is said to be another favourite haunt of Mary's. She stayed there only briefly before the Battle of Langside, but nevertheless it is said her headless ghost began appearing there after her execution http://news.scotsman.com/spookystories/Haunted-trail-of-Mary-Queen.2684937.jp — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.26.179 (talk) 16:05, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Haunted category

[edit]

This article is in Category:Reportedly haunted locations in Scotland, but (and not withstanding the comment posted here about a decade ago concern Mary Queen of Scots) the article itself makes no mention of ghost stories or paranormal activity associated with the Castle. Unless there is evidence of there being notable claims relating to haunting that can be added to the article, I would suggest that it should be removed from this category. However, I would note that the castle is listed at Reportedly haunted locations in Scotland, so there may be something that should be added. Dunarc (talk) 20:45, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
