  • Avoid single-sentence paras such as the one introducing the lead. I would merge it so you have just three lead paras (in line with WP:LEAD).
  • " the 2005–06 season" put "season" in the pipe. Etc.
  • "and then returned to Coventry in 2004." in a senior team role this time though...
  • "promotion to League One during" link League One for consistency.
  • "fora a fee " for a.
  • "... back in ... back in ..." - repetitive.
  • "non-league" -> "non-League".
  • Lead seems incomplete, he's currently without a club, right? He left Cov Utd in 2018 according to the infobox.
  • "he rejoined Coventry.[3] He" again, underline that this was the senior team now.
  • "played one further game for the club, playing.." played...playing... repetitive.
  • Link hat-trick.
  • "Reid signed a new two-year contract with Newport County on 17 April 2010.[27] He was also named the Conference South Player of the Year.[28]" I would reverse those as the latter is doubtless related to his prolific scoring and success of the club which is mentioned in the preceding sentences.
  • "brace" is a word I've always struggled to ensure our non-UK non-footballing experts understand. Link perhaps?
  • Rob Sinclair, no comma in the piped link.
  • AFC -> A.F.C.
  • "who had left the" ->"both of whom had left..."
  • "on non-contract terms" what does that mean?
  • "Midland League" our article is at Midland Football League.
  • What happened post-end-of-17/18-season?
  • "As of match played 17 March 2017" surely not...
  • Avoid use of Daily Mail as it's been agreed as non-RS...
  • Seems a shame that Newport County A.F.C. Hall of Fame has been started... Especially as there's a template for it.
  • Odd to see two ext links to Soccerbase, any chance of enhancing the text to explain why?

That's it for now. On hold while we go over these. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 09:28, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

SBFCEdit do you intend to address these? Cheers. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 08:16, 22 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@The Rambling Man: Hi, thanks again for reviewing the article. Apologies for the delay. Have addressed all of these aside from the current information on Reid ("What happened post-end-of-17/18-season?"). His LinkedIn profile states he is an ex-footballer so would pretty much nail on he has now retired. There's absolutely nothing to suggest when and if he has played beyond his spell at Coventry United summer 2018. Just trying to dig a bit deeper to see if I can find anything in any programmes. I'll update later on this evening. Cheers. SBFCEdit (talk) 16:53, 22 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, I wasn't trying to rush you, just thought you might have missed this while you were doing the other one I reviewed! Let me know when you're ready for a re-review. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 17:06, 22 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@The Rambling Man:. Hi, everything sorted now. Went through 60+ pages of the Coventry United news feed and found that Reid actually finished the 2017–18 season back at Coventry United (originally stated he had spent the rest of that season on loan at Barwell given he was supposed to be on loan there for the remainder of the season). Also know for sure he left Coventry United that summer as he wasn't in their retained list or finalised squad list for the following season. As stated above, I'm pretty sure he has retired, but have left that side of things alone until I can find concrete evidence. I have added a quick line after leaving Coventry United about him focusing on his coaching career — link states he has done his UEFA B licence and is now a candidate to take his UEFA A licence. I appreciate your diligence. The article exceeds GA by a way, so I'm happy to promote. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 16:12, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
