why keep this page?
[edit]It has been proposed to delete this page.
I did not even remember I created this page.
To the question should it be here in wikipedia, my answer would be : it's a brand and it's famous at least in France. If you delete a brand which is not famous enough and then keep only the big one...
For example, see how big the page is for its main competitor : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Creuset
I don't make Wikipedia policies; I agree this is not a major article and I feel it does not deserve more than mentionning it is an existing brand. However since you have a big page on "Le Creuset", deleting this page would make Wikipedia a marketing and communication tool! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Toh-mah (talk • contribs) 11:56, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Comment/Question: The first paragraph states that "The company was formed in 1553". Is that a typo? Should it be 1953? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tenorio40 (talk • contribs) 18:41, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
- Dear @Tenorio40: Cousances is a very old, historic, cast-iron foundry. I know, I added the picture. It is the mother of all cast iron ware in the western world. It was bought up by Le Creuset, but the latter themselves, say on their site, "Four centuries ago, the legendary Cousances foundry began producing cast iron cookware in Northeastern France. Artisans evolved and expanded their craft over the centuries that followed." (see their site). Best regards, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 18:53, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
