Infobox
[edit]- Even if more generally as metalcore, should also be added to the genre
- Objection. There's four times as many references supporting deathcore, and if we have a more specific subgenre that far outsources the original, there's no need to add the original. That's like adding "rock" to a Green Day album. I'm not making this all up now, either, this has been discussed before (although not on the article's talk page, I don't think). dannymusiceditor oops 02:35, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- Can you show me such discussion? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 18:10, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
Okay, so it looks like it was a back-and-forth of edit summaries which me and Statik N eventually came to an agreement on outside the article on how sources should be represented on debut albums, though we both agreed that after trimming the source that didn't meet the requirements of calling the record metalcore (rather than the band), it wouldn't make sense to include it in the infobox, and there were no further oppositions on anyone's end. Statik, if you see this, does this look about accurate? Mario, for more context, see the article's history dated 17 September 2018. I would be happy to answer any further questions. On to the other issues. dannymusiceditor oops 18:01, 15 April 2019 (UTC)see below dannymusiceditor oops 18:27, 15 April 2019 (UTC)

Lead
[edit]- I would be a bit more specific on the "The album received some negative reviews", give examples
- The top 100 of the UK Albums Chart → at what number?
- Perhaps add something from the legacy section?
- Done to the best of my ability. There was something already there from legacy, but I added more for you. dannymusiceditor oops 18:19, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
Writing and recording
[edit]- "A number of songs are re-recordings of early demos that the band had recorded for a demo titled" → too much demo and recording, "A number of songs are re-recordings of early demos that the band had taped for a project titled"
- A number of songs are re-recordings of early demos that the band had recorded for a demo titled The Bedroom Sessions and in a broadcast session for the UK station Radio 1, namely "(I Used to Make Out With) Medusa", "Off the Heezay" and "Liquor & Love Lost" (then known as "Dragon Slaying"). → source?
- There are sources to prove this exists, but none of them are typically suitable for Wikipedia. It's mentioned in one interview with Sykes, but not by name (most BMTH fans would know what he was referring to, but outsiders wouldn't). What would you like me to do? Take a search yourself and you'll see what I mean. There is an MTV photo essay that mentions it in a caption, but none of the tracks are mentioned. dannymusiceditor oops 17:04, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
- You can use that MTV source, just remove the name of the songs, it still gives the general idea. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:27, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- more recently, Lostprophets.[1] → remove the indication of the source here since its the same on the following sentence.

Composition and lyrics
[edit]- to this end, Welch claims that the band → I know what you are saying with this, but this is just not the wording you should use here
- claimed that the group → claimed the group
- explained that → same as previous and a comma after explained
- but has also been labelled more generally as metalcore (...) uses elements of genres like metalcore → this is a bit weird, either it uses elements of it or is it, not sure how it can be both. If I'm taking into consideration the about.com review, "They are a metalcore band and are also sometimes labeled deathcore". So IT IS, even last rites says so....btw it is "labeled"
- Hmm, that seems suitable. Don't know why Last Rites was never included to begin with, I'll put that in. And sure it can be both, but it does come across a little awkward the way it was written, doesn't it? Almost as if metalcore hadn't been already mentioned. Fixed the structure (and spelling mistake). dannymusiceditor oops 18:27, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
- at the time that he wrote them → at the time he wrote them
- All Done. dannymusiceditor oops 18:33, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
Promotion and release
[edit]- What do you mean with lead music video? I never heard such do you mean single? or the video was just released? If so just say "A video for "Pray for Plagues" was released on 4 June 2007 and directed by Kenny Lindström" or something in this vein. The same applies to "For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only (Braille)" and director of this?
- They were not released as singles. It's not wrong per se to call it a "lead video" if a single was never formally released. dannymusiceditor oops 19:31, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
- Bring Me saw out the year → Bring Me the Horizon, what do you mean "saw out the year"?
- continued to tour the UK through March and April → is this regarding the tour with Killswitch Engage? is missing a connector in the sentence such as "and", "as well as" or any other
- It is not, these are separate tours. Nonetheless rewrote. dannymusiceditor oops 19:31, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
- I did some changes, see if you agree. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 22:00, 15 April 2019 (UTC)

Reception
[edit]- "It also reached number 9 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart. It remained in the UK Rock top 40 for a further two weeks, first dropping to number 14 and then to number 26." → I do believe it is the same chart and if so, needs to be more consistent "It also reached number 9 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart and remained there for two further weeks, first dropping to number 14 and then to number 26." Sources at the end of the sentence.
- Reworked to be close to this.
- AllMusic and About.com should be in the middle of the reviews and not separated, since its the same person saying negative and positive, but mostly negative. The reviews should go like this in the prose (positive, mixed and then negative)
- I don't understand what you're referring to, can you attempt doing so yourself?
- Add the review of Chronicles of Chaos to the body of this section and the DIY review to the boxscore.
- DIY did not review the album, they reviewed a song on the album, and that's still reception. A portion of Chronicles of Chaos has been added to the section. dannymusiceditor oops 15:42, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Legacy
[edit]- Not sure if "Legacy" is the most adequate title here, perhaps "Impact" or something in that vein. The album doesn't seem to influenced any other bands, however it they took a drastic change in their music and some critics consider of of their best songs taken from this album...so any other word but legacy
Done dannymusiceditor oops 17:01, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
Track listing
[edit]- all music composed by Bring Me the Horizon. → Should be all songs produced by Bring Me the Horizon. Composition is lyrics and music, which is not the case here.
- How about Dan Sprigg? Wasn't he a producer?
Done dannymusiceditor oops 17:00, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
Personnel
[edit]- Any studios where it was recorded, mixed, mastered, enginnered? Should also be mentioned here
- I don't typically see this done, if you do that, that's fine, but I believe this is not required. dannymusiceditor oops 19:33, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
- Didn't said it was but to add this kind of information doesn't hurt anyone. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:20, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
- If you want it there, you may add it yourself. I am not comfortable with adding it, but I will not oppose anyone else doing so. dannymusiceditor oops 16:59, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
- "Produced, mixed, mastered and recorded by Dan Sprigg and Bring Me the Horizon" → the band knows how to master songs? That's soemthing new...
- Add a source here and on the tracklsit as well. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 01:58, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
- Tracklist isn't and shouldn't be necessary. dannymusiceditor oops 22:59, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
- What? I was talking about a source! Inlay notes. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 23:13, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, I'm sorry. That's what I was talking about, not the entire list. Nobody ever sources the tracklist unless it's an obscure, unreleased album. dannymusiceditor oops 23:39, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

Chart positions
[edit]- Fine
References
[edit]- Unlink double wikilinks such as Digital Spy, AllMusic, Alternative Press, Blabbermouth.net, Visible Noise and Kerrang!
- I'll get to it, but it shouldn't impede a pass as it's not part of the GA criteria. dannymusiceditor oops 15:43, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- Reference three and 39 are dead and 19 doesn't fully load, also dead.

[edit]- Table with Release History?
- Care to mention the other guy who nominated this with me? (When you're done, of course.) dannymusiceditor oops 17:37, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- I will let you both know. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:04, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- @DannyMusicEditor: and @Andre666: can now adress the changes in the article. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 18:15, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
- @DannyMusicEditor: There are a couple of changes still missing in certain sections, such as Writing and recording, Reception, Personnel and References. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 13:30, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- I will finish that shortly, I do plan on fixing it in the next day or two, but I cannot immediately attend to it. dannymusiceditor oops 03:07, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
- @DannyMusicEditor: only missing a source on the Personnel section for the inlay notes "Credits adapted from the liner notes of...", after that it will be an a GA article. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:09, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
- I haven't the first idea how to format it. I don't actually own this album. dannymusiceditor oops 17:32, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
@DannyMusicEditor: I either missed this or you add it in the meantime, but "September 2006" was recored? Source? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:50, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
- Probably in the liners, but I'll scrap it until then. dannymusiceditor oops 18:12, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
