[edit]This person is a very important person and well known to most Romanians, but not only. The point of wikipedia is to inform people about things, and i bet there are people who might have heard of the guy, and want to know more about it.. let me know what you guys think, thx

k, ill look on the net for some.. it will take a while because most are in romanian.. is there such thing as just "deletion" instead of "speedy deletion"? i think we should let the article on for a bit, maybe someone will run across it and help me with my point.. anyway, ill look for the sources, but i'm not trying to vandalize wikipedia..
- Yes there is. Articles for Deletion. However, in order to get off speedy, you'll need to find the sources. If you can find some fairly quickly, you might get it on AfD instead. However, there's a possibility that an admin might think that this can't really be salvaged, and just delete it anyway. Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 01:45, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
k, got it.. well a quick search on Google will give you about 999 results, which is fairly good.. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=costache+ioanid the english only option only gives you about 45.. http://www.google.com/search?q=costache+ioanid&hl=en&lr=lang_en&sa=X&oi=lrtip&ct=restrict&cad=9
here's a website of the "First Romanian Baptist Church of Atlanta" which, at least the title, is in english.. they have some of Ioanid's poems on there, but they are not translated..
- another webiste that mentions Ioanid's name, and has one of his poems translated in English..
http://lutheransurrealism.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_lutheransurrealism_archive.html you can do "CTRL+F" and type Ioanid to see his name quickly
- another website that has some of his poems translated into english
http://blog.360.yahoo.com/rss-jrAjSQ08eq8bowfQgJJQXmulSPM-
and trust me, all romanian baptist churches (both in Romania and in the U.S.) use a song book which is mainly made up of Ioanid's songs.. he wrote hundredths of songs..
- I'd personally consider the Lutheran Surrealism link to be non-notable, as it's a blog. Same with the Yahoo 360 blog. The First Romanian Baptist Church of Atlanta will also probably be a non-notable reference. Finally, we generally don't accept 'trust me' as a valid reference. K, i understand.. well i have to go, we'll see what the administrators say.. if they decide to delete it, i will gather sources fist and then maybe try to explain why it should be an article.. thanks for your help

[edit]I'm going to give this article the benefit of the doubt for now; I've removed the speedy deletion tag and started wikifying the article. Please see if you can find some sources (they don't have to all be in English, but it will help) and it'll probably avoid AFD as well. Good luck, and let us know if we can help with anything. -- nae'blis 06:53, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
