Use of the title Brigade Manager
[edit]Wikipedia generically uses the term or title "Brigade Manager" to describe officers of the fire service whom have obtaied the rank of Cheif Fire Officer or County Fire Officer in the UK Fire Service.
The term or title "Brigade Manager" has not been widely accepted and does not reflect true accuracy. The term Cheif Fire Officer or Firemaster (in Scotland) should instead be used for clarity and to reflect accuracy —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.155.136.141 (talk) 00:22, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Fire Appliances
[edit]Why did you delete the Fire Appliances section and put a link to fire appliances?? Because most fire services have diffenant fire appliances. Wrcf1 (talk) 20:28, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Simply, this article does not need a whole section on water tenders or ladders. Those appliances are all covered adequately in the Fire apparatus article which is wikilinked in the same section as the list of stations and appliances. There really is no need to duplicate information. Let's see what others think. I'll leave the section in place for now though. --TimTay (talk) 19:58, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Add in the fact that it is unsourced, which makes a very good case for removal. ninety:one 21:00, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Good point, thanks. --TimTay (talk) 21:04, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- In this article, I would concur. However on some other Wikipedia UK Fire and Rescue pages; this information is sourced and adds some value to the article - especially as it is specific to the FRS in question.Squirrel684 (talk) 21:16, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Surely it only adds value if that vehicle or piece of equipment is absolutely unique to that fire service? A small amount of text is warranted but otherwise a wikilink elsewhere would be appropriate. --TimTay (talk) 21:18, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- I do agree. I would not resent anyone for removing said information.Squirrel684 (talk) 21:25, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Remove it. There's consensus. ninety:one 21:43, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Are we going to remove?--Wrcf1 20:58, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Vehicles assigned to fire stations
[edit]As of 24 March 2021[update], the details of appliances posted to each station, all of which is original research, has been removed from the table of fire stations. If anyone feels the need to re-add the information in an easy-to-read manner then there is a fleet list that can be referenced, correct as of December 2020[update], here on the CFRS website. What should not happen then is a lot of low level updates to individual stations without those updates being referenced - that's original research. --10mmsocket (talk) 09:25, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
