The result of the move request was: moved. note: if somebody wants to add a hatnote to Jeremy Corbyn directing readers to the (name) page, my poor work computer is incapable of editing that massive page, so I will be unable to until later.(closed by non-admin page mover) ASUKITE 15:14, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
Corbyn → Corbyn (name) – Clear wp:primary topic is Jeremy Corbyn. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 10:44, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. Too similar to Corbin. Steel1943 (talk) 14:39, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- The {{redirect}} hatnote can be accommodated to link to that page as well. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 16:12, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- What I mean is that there is a great chance someone could look up "Corbyn" intending to locate "Corbin", and vice versa, and for this reason, I'm not sold on either variation having a primary topic. Steel1943 (talk) 18:24, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, and the hatnote can easily be accommodated to assist those readers. None of that changes the fact that "Corbyn" overwhelmingly refers to the former Labour leader. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 20:27, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- Again, I don't believe there's a primary topic due to what I have already stated, in addition that the surname association is probably not a world-wide view of a primary topic. Steel1943 (talk) 20:53, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- What else could be the primary topic? ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 20:55, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- Nothing is the primary topic ... which is a point I've now made 3 times. Steel1943 (talk) 21:10, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- So, in that case, I fail to see how a wp:primary redirect would be such a problem. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 15:05, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- ...Because there's no primary topic? Steel1943 (talk) 20:09, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- There is, Jeremy Corbyn is far and away the primary topic per pageviews. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 20:27, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- The statement I made regarding the confusion between "Corbin" vs "Corbyn" is page view agnostic. That, and Piers Corbyn is likely enough in the case (per your search) since the difference between views is not 10x, validating the current situation without moves to be the most helpful for our readers. Steel1943 (talk) 20:31, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- It's not "likely" per the search, it's behind Given name, while Jeremy Corbyn is well ahead in first place, making it clearly primary. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 22:38, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

- Support per nom. Clear primary redirect. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:56, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
- Support Corbin and Corbyn aren't that easily confused. PatGallacher (talk) 22:50, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
