INCORRECT DEFINITION OF "WICKING"
[edit]Wikipedia remains my go-to source for all information, so I hate to see any inaccuracies therein. Your use of "wicking" to characterize the action of Coolmax fabric is misleading.
A wicking fabric is hydrophilic: it ABSORBS moisture. I bought Coolmax T-shirts (to absorb sweat and leave my underarm dry) and found that they do the very opposite: they repel moisture quite efficiently, making sweat pool on the skin and and leaving me feeling sticky! Coolmax fabric should be classified as moisture-repellent (hydrophobic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Linus Ogbuji (talk • contribs) 17:14, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
