[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because it does not duplicate the page Conversion of the Jews as that refers to a future event and this is a historical article.--Jbrzow (talk) 15:24, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, the two subjects are different, so I've declined the good faith speedy. Mr. MacTidy (talk) 15:40, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For anyone following this page, there is a problem with the first source. It does not reference what it is used for. It is used as a reference for late antiquity and the book actually covers "King Manuel I and the end of religious tolerance (1496-7). I am currently researching forced conversion in late antiquity and am having trouble finding evidence of it from the church itself. This may be a false claim, or it may just be a badly researched claim, but right now it is a claim without valid support. That should be removed I'm thinking and citation needed should be added until someone actually finds one. Is there agreement? I would do it but I am not active right now. I found this doing other research. Jenhawk777 (talk) 04:53, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Page Expansion

[edit]

This page is necessary but needs to be expanded - most specifically because there are core years in which Byzantine emperors were forcing conversion on Jews between the 4th and 7th centuries. Mistamystery (talk) 17:28, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
