Unverified source or citation.

The following paragraph was added last night to this article:

"The monument was placed in Olde Towne where a slave whipping post used to stand. The sheriff's office was responsible for whipping slaves 15 to 20 times as punishment."

This is an unsubstantiated claim and lacking any citations or sources. It is disputed content. One historian at Norfolk State has made this claim but likewise has not provided sources. I would like to see this paragraph noted that it is missing a citation. I feel this is important because it has inflamed many emotions in the African American community.
