On this article's title

I moved the page to Commonwealth (U.S. term) because:

It's ridiculous that this article is consistent with Georgia (U.S. state) in its title but not its meaning; it's not about a state called Commonwealth; it's about a term called commonwealth.

In contrast to Georgia (U.S. state), which is about a state called Georgia, not a term called Georgia.

But someone just reverted me. Any discussion?? Any articles you can name that have the same dis-ambiguation suffix with different meanings?? Georgia guy (talk) 19:35, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

I reverted your move because Commonwealth (U.S. insular area) is also a "term". While I understand your point, in this case, the move needs to be discussed first to avoid more confusion. I considered just moving it to something like Commonwealth (term for U.S. state), but that's rather lengthy, so I reverted the move instead and recommended discussion. - BilCat (talk) 19:46, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Misunderstandings

I worked for nearly a dozen years in a Pennsylvania addiction treatment program. Most of our clients came to us from the courts and prison systems. Within that community there is a widespread (and erroneous) conspiracy theory that holds that the "commonwealth" label allows for countless abuses of their rights. The perception that they were incarcerated ONLY because Pennsylvania is a commonwealth was nearly universal. I know it's not real, but I wonder if the misunderstanding bears mention....
