Merging
[edit]I suggest merging all articles about the roasts together. They are all stubs, and this will help make a more coherent article. BioYu-Gi! 21:26, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
References
[edit]Reference 1 and 2 are the same, both pointing to comedy central "milestones" page. The first should point to somewhere in the NY Observer, I guess! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.80.26.46 (talk) 13:23, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Roastofwilliamshatner.jpg
[edit]Image:Roastofwilliamshatner.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hugh Hefner
[edit]Wasn't Hugh Hefner roasted? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0300261/ Or was that the Friars Club & not CC? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brogandman (talk • contribs) 03:12, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
- He was roasted by the Friar's Club. Novadestin (talk) 13:56, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Bob Saget roast
[edit]Does anyone know if Norm Macdonald's monologue on the Bob Saget roast was intentionally meant to be unfunny? This is a serious question because it was probably the worst attempt at roasting I have seen so far. It seemed staged somehow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.178.111.9 (talk) 08:37, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- I thought it was hilarious and done very much in Norm's style. His jokes were very dated and because of that very funny. A true comedian's comedian.Peter Napkin Dance Party (talk) 02:44, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Chevy Chase roast
[edit]Why is there no reference to the infamous Chevy Chase roast? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.217.2.47 (talk) 05:19, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Chase was roasted by the Friar's Club. He was the last friar's roast to be aired on CC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Peter Napkin Dance Party (talk • contribs) 02:46, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Cheech and Chong roast
[edit]Also not mention. Its not on Friars club list either
Gene Simmons
[edit]What's the deal with the Roast of Gene Simmons? I saw a marathon of all the roasts, but Gene Simmons' was not there, in the clip show 'Best of the Roast' or whatever it was called, there were no jokes from that roast. Someone said that it had to do with A&E owning the rights to the show Gene Simmons' Family Jewels, but I don't see why there is so little mention of his roast. Tydamann (talk) 11:03, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- When was Gene Simmons roasted? I don't recall that one. Dayewalker (talk) 11:09, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- Gene has not been roasted as far as I know, nor can I find any information on it anywhere. So that's probably why they didn't air anything because it never happened. Novadestin (talk) 13:58, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Bruce Willis
[edit]Wasn't Bruce Willis roasted as well? - Some Dude You've Never Known (talk) 15:17, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe not on Comedy Central. - Jasonbres (talk) 22:27, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Rob Reiner?
[edit]No mention of the Rob Reiner roast? I figure if Comedy Central produced it and aired it, it needs to be mentioned in the list in the article. --98.232.180.170 (talk) 02:56, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
It was a friars club roast on CC. Same with Drew Carey — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.217.56.182 (talk) 01:33, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
What is a roast?
[edit]It would be useful seeing as this concept is not common knowledge outside of the US if an outline of what a roast involves (in the Comedy Central setting) could be given. I had no idea and I left the article still not knowing what actually takes place in an episode, or what a 'roast' was in this context. Simply linking to the roast article is insufficient.Walker Slake (talk) 20:59, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
agreed, I came here after reading an article on Charlie Sheen. I still have no idea what a roast is. I assume it is not a dinner comprising meat and oven cooked potatoes. A more worldly explantion please for non Americans.
Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals
[edit]So... where is the Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals roast? 2602:306:80C5:D8E0:89EE:A381:CE84:6E0D (talk) 01:27, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
