To do / suggestions
[edit]- references may need work; I don't know how to do them correctly
- pictures would be GREAT
- renaming the article to color correction (gels) and doing a redirect would be good

article should have additions about subjects other than filmmaking
[edit]Color correction is a general term that applies to graphics and photography as well as filmmaking. Instead of merging this article somewhere, or moving it, information should be added about other types of color correction, and if need-be, sections that subsequently get too long can be split out into their own articles. Recently, the color balance article has been getting some attention, but there is information relevant to this article at color balance, white point, and color temperature, among other places. --jacobolus (t) 07:36, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Gels are not the first thing I think of when I hear "color correction". Who uses them for that? Film-makers use gels for creative purposes as much as for color temperature conversion (the "correction" part). Photographers don't even do that any more; they use AWB unless they're on film. I do agree that we need to generalize this article.--Adoniscik (talk) 07:09, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
