Coats of arms vs. distinctive unit insignia
[edit]Note to anonymous Miami University poster: Since the title of the article contemplates "coats of arms" it seems that it is appropriate to only include coats of arms. There is a separate "distinctive unit insignia" article to which I have generally moved the distinctive unit insignias that are added to this page. My goal is to avoid any confusion in the reader, who may not be aware of the difference between coats of arms and distinctive unit insignias. Certainly, let's discuss any possible better approaches here. Thanks for all your contributions!Otownfla (talk) 14:33, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Cav
[edit]Why is cav here? They have their own list List of U.S. Army armored cavalry regiments Rklawton (talk) 20:18, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
- Armored cavalry regiments are only a sub-set of all cavalry regiments, which doesn't include air cavalry, cavalry (infantry), divisional cavalry squadrons, cavalry squadrons in brigades, and other special units such as the one at West Point. Buckshot06 (talk) 09:51, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
