Reverting Gander Dower
[edit]I have reverted this edit because Dower was only a small part of the story relating to Davies's 'temporary' leadership and the edit only covers part of that story. Had Sinclair for instance won in 1950, he would have resumed the leadership. Perhaps the editor would like to take another crack at this section. Graemp (talk) 12:29, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Page Move
[edit]I recently moved this page from Clement Davies to Clement C. Davies and converted the prior article to a disambiguation page. I am sorry, I should have posted a note about here first to get consensus. I am requesting it be moved back. —Charles Edward (Talk | Contribs) 17:56, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
Requested move 14 October 2021
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. Unanimously supported. Will swap and redirect the dab to Clement Davies, the existing dab hatnotes are sufficient. No disposition on Clem Davies as it is involved in a separate discussion. (closed by non-admin page mover) ASUKITE 00:52, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
Clement C. Davies → Clement Davies – This page was moved without consensus, please move it back to Clement Davies —Charles Edward (Talk | Contribs) 18:01, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support. This was a mistake that needs to be rectified. His full name was Edward Clement Davies but he was always known as Clement. No Great Shaker (talk) 20:37, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support - it's the common name per google site search for Clement Davies. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:19, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support, appears to be the primary use of this name, also current title is incorrect. Warofdreams talk 00:47, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and also support deletion of Clement Davies disambiguation page to make room for the move. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:07, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support restoration of status quo and see also Talk:Clement L. Davies for related discussion about Clem Davies. DuncanHill (talk) 02:02, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- Comment This should really have been listed at Wikipedia:Requested_moves#Requests_to_revert_undiscussed_moves. DuncanHill (talk) 02:07, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support, correction of a mistake as his full name was Edward Clement Davies. The Welsh politician is more notable than the Canadian minister so he should be the primary use of 'Clement Davies'. The Welsh politician was also known as 'Clem',[1], so Clem Davies should redirect to his article. Verbcatcher (talk) 02:41, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support. Common name and primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:18, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
