The result of the move request was: moved. Consensus to move Clement L. Davies to Clem Davies (minister). Consensus that Clem Davies should redirect to Clement Davies (which is already the case). (non-admin closure) VR talk 21:00, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Clement L. Davies → Clem Davies – This nomination is tangentially related to the concurrent Talk:Clement C. Davies#Requested move 14 October 2021. In this case, sources clearly confirm that, rather than Clement L. Davies, subject's WP:COMMONNAME was Clem Davies. — Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:25, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose Primary usage for "Clem Davies" will be the British Liberal Party leader. This has arisen because of an undiscussed move, and re-use of a redirect, which should all be reversed before any further discussion. DuncanHill (talk) 02:18, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose, the British Liberal Party leader should be the primary usage. He was also knows as 'Clem', so Clem Davies should redirect to his article. The article on the Canadian minister could stay at Clement L. Davies or be disambiguated, possibly to Clem Davies (minister).

- Comment. There is no indication that the Canadian minister was known as "Clement L. Davies" or even as "Clement Davies". All sources indicate that his WP:COMMONNAME was "Clem Davies". Since his notability cannot compare to that of the Liberal Party leader, I would support the proposed form Clem Davies (minister). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 14:27, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support Clem Davies (minister) to use common name + disambiguator for the Canadian. DuncanHill (talk) 14:54, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support Clem Davies (minister). Clear common name, but also clearly needs disambiguation. Redirect Clem Davies to the Welsh politician. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:13, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Move Clement L. Davies to Clem Davies (minister) as common name. Redirect Clem Davies to Clement Davies as the primary topic. No Great Shaker (talk) 09:41, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
