Development notes
[edit]The "Save Clay Theatre" website has an inaccurate history section (also not a WP:RS), a later published news article debunk many of the myths (discovered through the city landmark process).[1] PigeonChickenFish (talk) 03:08, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

It did not open in 1910 as we had always believed, but instead in 1913. It did not show San Francisco's first-ever midnight movie screening with Pink Flamingos in 1972, as had been apocryphally believed — a claim that even director John Waters himself repeated.
