Talk:ClariNet

I see that this page redirects to Brad Templeton's descriptive page, since he was the founder of ClariNet. I'd like to branch this page off into its own proper article, and try to capture some of the historical information about ClariNet, and its place in early internet history.

However, I'm still not quite sure what I need to do to make that change which isolates the page from the redirect. Just wanted to post something here on the talk page to state my intent, and to get the process started. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Update: It seems like Wikipedia:Redirect might be the place to start my research.

Redirect

[edit]

The current incarnation of the article is wholly sourced by primary sources. It needs coverage from independent reliable sources, which currently it has zero of. Onel5969 TT me 16:07, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you - I have added two secondary sources - hopefully I'll add more tomorrow. Blmurch (talk) 16:16, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the "USENET history" link from External links as it redirects to O'Reilly's home page. If anyone is interested in reading what it used to say, it's been archived (page 1, page 2). It's quite interesting but not directly relevant to ClariNet. Lee Choquette (talk) 15:53, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
