1490?
[edit]The Historic England entry for the building states that it was "converted into a college in 1490 by Edmund, Earl of March". As far as I can see there was no English Earl of March in 1490 - the title had been held by Edward V of England so was subsumed into the crown when he became king in 1483; while the last earl called Edmund died in 1391.
Could it mean 1390? Also, I'm unclear what is meant by "college" - an academic college, a collegiate church, something else?
