GA Passed
[edit]This article has passed the GA noms. The following are bot-generated suggestions for improvment:
- Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
- Vague terms of size often are unnecessary and redundant - “some”, “a variety/number/majority of”, “several”, “a few”, “many”, “any”, and “all”. For example, “
Allpigs are pink, so we thought ofa number ofways to turn them green.”

City and Town Hall → City and Town Hall, Rochelle, Illinois — The name is too similar to the general article City and town halls, and a search for Rochelle would not find this article. ProfDEH (talk) 08:31, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose as unnecessary. City and Town Hall is different from city and town halls as an article title, and both are unlikely search terms; city hall and town hall, the likely search terms, already redirect to city and town halls. Any possible reader confusion can be avoided with a hatnote, which I've just added to this article. This article currently comes up sixteenth in a search for "Rochelle, Illinois"[1], but that can be improved by creating a redirect from Rochelle City and Town Hall or similar. Finally, if a move were necessary, the standard qualifier would be "City and Town Hall (Rochelle, Illinois)". Station1 (talk) 00:43, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- Strong Support to City and Town Hall, (Rochelle, Illinois). Is anyone prepared to argue that this is the only City and Town Hall in existence? Once you realize that there are more, is there a case for this generic name to have any article that is the primary use? A quick search will find other ones like in Ithaca. This also has issues outside of the US. Vegaswikian (talk) 01:41, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- One need not argue that this the only "City and Town Hall" in existence (although it might be) or even that it's the only notable one (more likely) -- only that it's the only one with an article currently on Wikipedia (it is). The building name, capitalized and singular, is not generic, and a slightly more thorough search reveals the Ithaca citation is a mirror of WP's Ithaca Commons article (therefore not reliable) and that reliable sources seem to indicate the Town of Ithaca's town hall[2] is a separate building from the City of Ithaca's city hall[3], as does Ithaca (town), New York's second paragraph. The Novi Vindoloski citation (also from a wiki) actually says "Cafes in the city center near Fountain City and Town Hall; Bistro M, Snoopy, Dom". Station1 (talk) 01:01, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- Strong Support to City and Town Hall, (Rochelle, Illinois). As per ProfDEH and Vegaswikian. Elekhh (talk) 02:07, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- Strong support and redirect this title to city and town halls , since people normally capitalize words in titles in English (a convention which Wikipedia doesn't like) 76.66.197.2 (talk) 06:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

New name
[edit]I hate to point it out at this stage, but it should be either City and Town Hall, Rochelle, Illinois or City and Town Hall (Rochelle, Illinois) ProfDEH (talk) 10:24, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
- Certainly. I think that extra comma was just a typo. I've moved it. Station1 (talk) 21:33, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
