Redirect
[edit]I am changing this to a redirect. This page has nothing on it that enables the citrus in question to be unambiguously identified, and much of the text is either a direct translation of the scientific name, or a reference to generic sweet lemons, with a hint that it might be a Med. limetta, based on an ambiguous source that probably isn't reliable anyhow (it looks like just a guess of the page compiler). The formal name is universally attributed to Risso and Poiteau, Histoire naturelle des oranger (1818-1822), who predate the placement into Citrus medica, but do list a variety (p. 119) they call Malus limonia minor dulcis (the only appearance of dulcis in the book), for which they give the common name Limettier a Petit Fruit (als. Citrus Limetta Parva, Limetta a Frutto Picollo), all of which translate roughy as small or small-fruited limetta. They provide an illustration of a round fruit (so not Limia). Based on there being other Limettier listed, this would be one of several varieties of limetta, but there is so little about this specific variety out there that a redirect to limetta is the way to go.
