She "travelled around the world" as a kid? Or did she live in Germany and the US and that's pretty much it? Because 2 countries wouldn't qualify as "around the world", unless this page is used as a promotional tool — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.171.187.153 (talk) 01:13, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

Can someone make this the main picture: http://www.mtv.com/movies/photos/m/movie_awards/12/spw/thats_my_boy/ciara2.jpg? This is from a few days ago and it's shows her new hairstyle. --MPQzy (talk) 17:17, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

As user above said, I think it's time for a new Ciara picture, that truly represents her new hairstyle and look. An image like this one could do http://dalje.com/slike/slike_3/r1/g2012/m02/ox281289840302084602.jpg

That picture of Ciara performing at the House of Blues is in the wrong area. That was in 2006, not 2004 nor 2005. It needs to be moved.
Also, who keeps changing my edit of separating Fantasy Ride and Basic Instinct? If Goodies and Ciara: The Evolution are separate, the other two should be separate too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MPQzy (talk • contribs) 13:17, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
A proposal for a new main image for Ciara's article
Hi Everyone,
I am a new user to wikipedia which means I don't have the ability to edit semi-protected articles such as Ciara's. I know some of you do have that ability and I was hoping someone could help me update her articles main photo to something more recent. I have a photo which isn't a link to any other site. With this being said, I am proposing the move for a new photo, would anyone be willing to make this possible?
Thank You, Akira Devon — Preceding unsigned comment added by Akiradevon1 (talk • contribs) 13:40, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
- Please upload the photo to the wikipedia database, and add the link to the picture here. If there is no objection to the picture, I'll change it :) TheOriginalSoni (talk) 18:30, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
Proposal to change Main image
Hi,
Yes, I'm back again because I am DETERMINED to have Ciara's main picture changed, lol. Below is a picture that has been uploaded to the data base and I was hoping you all would agree to having it changed to that rather than the other one considering the photo below is more recent. I thank you all in advance for whatever decision you make! :)
With Love, Akira Devon
--Akiradevon1 (talk) 23:38, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
- Done :) But why did you want to change it so badly? :) TheOriginalSoni (talk) 03:56, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Because the other image was from years ago and Ciara has had emmaculate growth as an artist since then, and she's shown that with her music so why not with a new image as well. :)--Akiradevon1 (talk) 11:19, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
Edit Request: Goodies—Abstinence
The statement, "...the lyrical content goes against the grain, speaking of 'abstinence', rejecting advances because 'the goodies will stay in the jar,'" is a serious mischaracterization of the song. Nothing in the song speaks of abstaining from sex; rather, the song speaks of her selectivity in men and expresses the idea that she will not necessarily be giving in to all interested men. For example, the second verse discusses what she wants from a man:

- This NY Times article confirms the abstinence theme. Pancake (talk) 19:46, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
References
It seems like the actual lyrics should trump what someone else claimed, even if that someone else was published in the New York Times. Selectivity and abstinence are not the same thing. The idea that a woman who says no to some men is abstinent is offensive and damaging, because it implies that the woman does not have the agency to choose to have sex with some men and not others (i.e., that women who want sex should have sex with all men who want them, and that women who say no to some men do not have sex at all).

Sixth Studio album
Ciara's sixth studio album will be released in spring 2015 and features contributions from producers, Dr. Luke and Polow da Don, and song-writer, Diane Warren.[1] In speaking on the album's concept, the singer stated, “It will be an authentic album, real. I talk openly and honestly about my emotions as a woman, mother, about my ambitions, but also my vulnerability, my happy moments and my sad moments.”[2] Epic Records will send the song, "I Bet", to urban contemporary radio on January 27, 2015.[3] 138.238.233.13 (talk) 20:47, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

For mononymous artists such as Ciara who use part of their birth name as their stage name, can we please exclude the phrase "known mononymously as (name)"? It's very redundant and doesn't flow well.
So please change the introductory line from this:
"Ciara Princess Harris (born October 25, 1985),[1] known mononymously as Ciara (pronounced /siːˈɛrə/, see-ERR-ə),[2] is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and model."
to the following:
"Ciara Princess Harris (/siːˈɛrə/, see-ERR-ə, born October 25, 1985)[1][2] is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and model."
Other articles about said mononymous artists like Madonna and Rihanna follow the latter format, and it should be included in the Wikipedia guidelines. Any mononymous artists who don't use part of their real name professionally do not apply here.
