This is clearly a cut and paste obituary job, very, very subjective and gushing. Please ammend.

I think this is one of the best biographies on Wikipedia, extremely informative and full of interesting anecdotes. Unless people are prepared to write something better and learn how to wiki properly (and sign themselves, if they wish to be taken seriously), then they should butt out and mind their own business. Jacey, your comments are hardly appropriate -- the vast majority of this is clearly copied from Sean Gabb's obit of Tame that appeared in the Independent on 23rd March 2006.

It dosn't matter whether or not you or anyone else finds it informative & interesting, and your suggestion that people concerned by copyvios & NPV should "butt out and mind their own business" is hardly constructive. Callum 12:17, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Early years

[edit]

"Tame joined the Conservative students' organisation at Hull, which was then headed by Andrew Neil"

Neil's Wikipedia entry makes no mention of his studying at Hull; he attended Glasgow University. Is this correct?

"In 1967, Tame founded the Libertarian Alliance..."

When he was 18? Might this be a typo? 1976? 1977? AuntFlo (talk) 03:58, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm interested by what you picked up - I've re-read the sources, and that's in fact what was said (principally in the Guardian obituary, 5 April 2006) so it's not a typo on my part. The Andrew Neil 'fact' appears to be the most easily contradicted, so I'll remove it. Ohconfucius (talk) 04:54, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
