Fair use rationale for Image:Chris Sanders.jpg
[edit]Image:Chris Sanders.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:15, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Requested move 25 April 2016
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Moved. Consensus that the director is a primary topic. — Amakuru (talk) 13:14, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
– Primary topic; the director not only receives the most pageviews (90% by my count) but, as a 3-time Oscar nominee and director of heavy hitters like Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon, he clearly has much more significance over a group of relatively unremarkable football players and a musician. Nohomersryan (talk) 14:55, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose this move will disable the dab-bot picking up mislinks. It isn't worth it for such a common first name+ surname combination, and (director) actually helps mobile phone users. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:46, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose (mostly...). "Chris Sanders (musician)" should stay as is, "Chris Sanders" should redirect to "Chris Sanders (disambiguation)". In my opinion, the main disambiguation page should be named "[Person's name] (disambiguation)" not "[Person's name]". Shearonink (talk) 19:28, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support. Yes. A clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC by usage and significance. Dohn joe (talk) 00:16, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support. IIO's reasoning makes less and less sense with every move. Primary topic by a mile. Unreal7 (talk) 17:20, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support: pageview statistics indicate that Chris Sanders (director) is viewed 12x more than the next most popular Chris Sanders (Chris Sanders (receiver)). DaltonCastle (talk) 23:45, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support as clear primary topic. SSTflyer 13:11, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
